This book has helped me a lot with my current and ongoing depression. It helped me to vocalize my feelings and made me feel not so alone. The magic pill doesn’t exist but having gratitude and different tools to help during hard time are definitely worth the read! 5 stars all the way!
Full disclosure: I am the person whose quote appears on the back panel of Feeling Better: A Field Guide to Liking Yourself (and meant every word). But that shouldn't disqualify me from writing a review after purchasing my own copy and reading it. I found A Field Guide a brave and personal story about dealing with depression. With each chapter dealing with different coping mechanisms, it is a valuable resource for others looking for practical and valuable advice.
The author has shared her journey from self loathing to self love, with a compassionate view of the reader who may be on a similar journey! Well done!!
