About this item

  • 【Color Change PLA Filament】This 3D printing filament consists of new specialized color-changing powder materials that react to different levels of light. Sunlight effect is best. The color effect on different sides / angles of prints will be influenced by size of prints, infill, thickness and shape
  • 【Chameleon Color Change】This Chameleon_Nebula Purple includes: Dark Purple, Blue, Spark Blue and Mix. The diameter tolerance of the PLA fiber is 1.75mm +/-0.02mm! Non-turnover characteristics achieve certain output quality and stable printing. Bringing higher precision printing experience
  • 【Recommend Settings】We recommend printing this PLA filament at temp of nozzle 200°C-220°C, bed 50-60°C, and speed of 30-80mm/s. If print High Speed faster than 120-350mm/s, nozzle ≥ 230-240°C is recommended. If the surface of the print appears somewhat matte, increase the temp
  • 【No Tangles & No Clogging】Length: 80±5m; Perfectly and neatly wound, No overlap and No tangle, 0.25KG 3D printer Filament makes 3D printer molding effect good and smooth. Good melting and smallest dimensional tolerance provide smooth and continuous feeding

Product description

FAQs:

Why can't the filaments stick to the build bed?

1. Check the temperature setting before printing, PLA filaments have lower extrusion temperature;

2. Check if the plate surface has been used for a long time, we recommended to clean and spray glue or replace the plate with a new one to ensure an strong first layer adhesion;

3. The first layer is printed too fast, set a slower speed to give the PLA enough time to bond on the platform

4. If the first layer has poor adhesion, we recommended to re-level the print substrate to reduce the distance between the nozzle and the surface plate;

5. If 3D printing does not perform well, we recommended to try printing the draft before printing.

Specification:

    Prints great using 220C and 60C bed. Metallic sheen is very prominent, particularly in the gold and brass colours. The silver is a bit more muted or matte, but still catches light nicely. Spools are packaged nicely, would definitely purchase more from this brand.

    I printed a half sphere using the white PLA+ with my extruder set to 225C, build platform set to 60C without glue, initial layers at 5mm/s and then printing at 250mm/s on an Elegoo Neptune 4. My print came out looking absolutely superb and the layer lines are barely perceptible! For reference, I would describe this one as having a slight creamy colour to it.

    This is my first PLA+ filament, and while it did require a bit of trial and error to figure out, the results are absolutely worth it after settings have been tuned in. As an added bonus, once cooled down, prints slide right off the build plate without any effort or residue. Considering its low price, great results and sturdiness, this PLA+ offers by far the best value I've found yet. It will likely become my new default material.

    PLA+ Copper

    Both Color and gloss are nice and as expected.

    Experiencing a bed adhesion issues but stringing is not a problem.

    Can’t seem to find a decent setting for this but I am sure with more time and a lot of wasted filament I’ll get it eventually.

    Skill Level - I am an advanced user of 3D printers.

    Suggestions…. Keep an eye on the price of this if you decided to take a chance trying it, as it changes frequently. It went on sale for about $10 less than I paid before it even arrived.

    The first two pictures I attached are of each side after about 15 print attempts tweaking the settings along the way. The grey one in the picture is using a different brand of filament loaded and printed on the first attempt so you can see the difference.

    Very disappointed that the price was cheaper than what I paid before it even arrived.

    Based on my experience with the price and quality, I would never recommend this to others.

    I have a high speed printer and found that, if I slowed down the print speed during the past 1/3 of the print, I had better results with this silk pla. The colors are amazing and always get a nice wow factor. I discovered that the front left corner of my prints would be blue, front right were green, and anything facing the back of the build plate was red. Once I figured that out, I had a lot of fun creating different color combinations and had a great time with this stuff. Have already bought again and tried out new colors. I did use my 0.6 nozzle for this and only use it for silk, so I haven’t had issues with clogs.

    4.0 out of 5 stars I have a love hate relationship with this filament.

    When I get a successful print with this filament, it's gorgeous and has an extra smooth finish (like it hides the layer lines better than most). That's the part I love about it is the color changing and finish.

    However getting this to stick to a build place in my X1C is always a fight. To get it to stick w/o glue I have to go all the way up to 80c, and that's after washing it with a name brand dish soap and wiping it down with a clean microfiber cloth - regardless of the build plate (textured PEI, engineering, smooth, etc.). But when I go that high it can and often does warp the bottom of the print (I lost a whole batch of the fidget spinners as a result which sucks). Very small pieces (like the tails of the dragons) are especially hard to print even with a brim and glue.

    In the end I resort to the engineering place at 60c w/ strong glue and then it works OK for me. As I said once I get past the adhesion issue of the print the rest is great.

    Even though it's 4/5 stars for me because of the adhesion issues I have, I bought a second roll when it wen on sale because the properly completed prints are awesome.
