The sections on sleep and circadian rhythm are not what you would find in a weight management book but they are so very important. I really like the inclusion of how our mind can/will affect out outcome and how to change our attitude.
The author draws on a lot of research (much when she was a researcher in Obesity) and has applied her knowledge to her private patients with great success. She also has struggled herself, experimented herself and can identify with the patients and the problems they encounter. She understands that perfection re diet and program is not likely possible for many of us and encourages us to forgive ourselves. On the other hand she wants us to find someone that we can be accountable to.
I could go on and on but want to get back to my reading and studying of this book. I highly recommend it to you! And I look forward to getting to work on this program.
Just because the calorie restriction and cardio until you collapse model didn't work for you, doesn't mean you don't have options. I highly recommend this book for anyone wanting to improve their health, because Dr. Sarah's recommendations in this book go beyond reaching a healthy weight, but are relevant to so many areas of health. You won't regret reading this book!
