It’s what he knows and what keeps him in balance. His latest assignment has him fighting a war with a partner he doesn’t believe he can trust.

Vanessa Aldridge has grown up in the gym and has seen it all—some good, some bad. But when performance-enhancing drugs threaten her life and her personal sense of worth—enough is enough. The very people closest to her now have her questioning their motives and nobody is as they seem. On top of all this, she’s unwittingly become the number-one pawn in an organised crime game and she’s risking her heart on a guy who wants to fight for everything but them.

Vanessa quickly discovers that Dylan is far from what he appears to be. But what happens when his latest assignment blows his carefully created world wide open? Can Dylan win the most important fight of all—the one for her heart and their future? Or will he retreat back into the one-dimensional existence of working and fighting? Can Vanessa remain steadfast to her principles and just maybe take the ultimate prize? The battle lines are drawn.

Ask the Author

Q: So what makes the Centre Games Series special?

A: It's a mix of things, really. When I set out to write these books, I wanted to create something that mirrored exactly the kind of books I like to read. My favourite reads all have a little of everything romance, suspense, action, adventure. I don't even mind a little paranormal fantasy or sci-fi done right! I love a strong storyline and I'll admit to liking some steamy sex! Basically, anything with a kick-butt attitude and fast-paced style gets my vote, but the romance must be good, oh and did I mention a happy ever after?

The Centre Games Series is a great mix of these genres. You'll find the series focuses on a romantic suspense mystery and thriller theme with a little but very believable paranormal or sci-fi twist. But unlike most romantic suspense, I've added full character development for our hero and heroine, and some very HOT sexy scenes. I like to take unusual themes, incidents or threats and use them as the thriller plot line, then I weave a romance story around it.

Q: Where are the book set?
A: The books are set on the Gold Coast (Queensland) Australia and are based around a covert quasi government agency that is not government, nor military but rather designed to eradicate biological, agricultural and environmental threats.

Q: What are the characters like?
A: My heros are very alpha (you'll understand why when you read the books) and are all very unique. My ladies are also strong, smart and take-charge. I often have readers say how they love that all my characters are different and they want them as friends!

Q: What order should I read the books in?
A: I’ve written the series so you can read the books as standalone, or as a connected series. If you do want to read them in order to get the most out of the series, I'd suggest the following sequence.

  1. Finding Trust
  2. Finding Judgement
  3. Finding Freedom
  4. Finding Resolution

Review of Finding Freedom by Natalie Gayle

5 out of 5 stars

Finding Freedom is book 3 in the Centre Series. It was a fantastic story about a woman named Vanessa who is in the middle of an organized crime and performance enhancing drug scandal.

Vanessa is a fitness specialist who decides she cannot stand by and watch as people’s lives are destroyed by these illegal drugs. She decides that she needs to go to the police even though she will be probably getting the person who has raised her throughout most of her life a jail sentence.

The police refer her to The Centre, who are a covert government agency who specialize in this type of crime. There she is partnered with the gorgeous Dylan the Ice Dragon Thompson who is a MMA fighter and undercover agent.

Vanessa and Dylan are attracted to each other instantly but Dylan has some demons of his own that he needs to overcome. In between all the danger around this operation to take down these criminals, Vanessa and Dylan learn what real love is.

This story is full of danger and hot steamy sex. Dylan is Hot, Hot, Hot! The roller coaster of events the author takes us on is great. Could not put this book down!

HASH(0xb23eb4bc) out of 5 stars Great Paranormal Love!! June 21 2014
By RMPerez - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
This is book 3 in the Centre Games Series. I have not read books 1 and 2 but I assure you I will be buying them and devouring them and waiting for the next book in this series. I read this easily as a standalone but want to know the other stories.

When we first meet the super sexy, Dylan "Ice Dragon" Thompson he's in the ring, easily winning an MMA fight. Can I just say this guy is the total package; sexy, confident, and just enough of sweetness. We later learn he is not so "normal" as he seems, he was born with some unusual DNA, as were most members of the elite team he works with.

The cute Vanessa Aldridge enjoyed watching Dylan win his fight. Vanessa ends up trying to plant herself as a mole in Dylan's gym, "Animal Instincts," to aid her long time friend and father-like figure John get ahead in the illegal supplements distribution business in this sport. She's not sure she really wants to help John but agrees to try to get into Animal Instincts somehow. Unfortunately for Vanessa, Dylan does not take the bait and doesn't accept her into his training classes.

Vanessa and Dylan are thrust together through some unusual circumstances. A sweet and budding relationship ensues. Dylan and Vanessa need to learn how to be a couple even when they are not sure if it's real or just for show.

I truly enjoyed seeing these two intriguing people come together and seeing how they react not only to each other but the others around them and getting their jobs done.

I don't want to give up any spoilers. Let's just say this is one of those books thats a paranormal romance with just enough paranormal to make it seems not over the top paranormal. For those of you that may not like paranormal romance, give this a read, I promise, it's very well written and truly enjoyable.

I have only just recently stumbled across this series and it is definitely an enjoyable read. I loved Bray and Rihanna’s book, Finding Trust as well as TJ and Rory’s book, Finding Judgement. This series is set on the Gold Coast in Australia and I absolutely love reading books that are written by fellow Aussies. It’s refreshing to actually have been where a novel is set, and to support the great Australian talent that is out there.

I was really hoping that this book would be Quade and Jazz’s book, but nevertheless it was great to officially meet another Centre operative in Dylan “Ice Dragon” Thompson. I love how Natalie changes each story so there is rarely any similarities between each book. It’s great to actually read a series that isn’t the same standard plot line book after book - I love a bit of variety!

The characters in this book are a lot different to the previous books in the form of their personalities. Dylan seems like this tough MMA fighter/Centre operative, but really he is battling with some serious inner demons from his past and because of what he is. In my opinion, Vanessa is a more stronger female character than Rihanna and TJ; not just emotionally but physically. The characters really enhanced my love for this story because I fell in love with them.

Natalie portrays some very serious issues in this novel surrounding the use of performance-enhancing drugs in sport and the mental and physical effects that they have on a person. She didn’t leave a stone unturned, using the entire supply-chain to demonstrate the issue. After studying drug use in sports for my Sports Recreation certificate, Natalie sure got every fact and detail spot-on. Some serious research went into this story and it really does show.

The one thing I love about these books are that they aren’t short stories. There’s plenty of time to spend with the characters in each novel and it isn’t rushed so there is no detail missing. Natalie really does provide an entertaining and action-packed story with each book and this is just another great title to add to the collection.

I am now overly excited for Quade and Jazz’s story because it’s coming up next. Natalie, hurry up and write that book!
HASH(0xb23eb9a8) out of 5 stars Another unique and fantastic story in this series! June 16 2014

**I was given a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review**

I was already familiar to The Centre and this series, after loving Braydon and Rihanna's story in the first book. Although this book is a standalone, I liked how I already knew the background to the Centre and the characters.
Dylan, had been introduced in Finding Trust. So I was aware of him briefly.
Ok, so although another member of the The Centre in this book. This is a totally different story and another really clever plot is played out.
Dylan '"Ice Dragon" Thompson is the mysterious and hot thing in the world of MMA. He's like a machine, nobody can beat him and he is flawless.
Vanessa Aldridge is someone who has practically grown up inside a gym. It's her life and everything that goes on within the gym, she is aware of.
What follows is an extremely clever and detailed story surrounding performance-enhancing drugs and the effects, and danger but also how far people will go to get them and those surrounding the distribution of them. I have never read anything about MMA/gyms/performance related drugs in any stories so I actually l learnt so much when reading this book, that's how much detail goes into these books.
The Centre has taken this on as something they can sort out in their mysterious and covert way. The Centre themselves are still such a clever and unique topic, which I loved in Book 1, but I don't want to spoil what the situation there is.
So there begins the connections between the Centre and Vanessa and the Gym she has grown up around and now works in.
What I love about the Centre Games series, is just how unique the stories are. Finding Trust - Book 1, was a totally new and different story from anything I had read before, and Finding Freedom just upped that completely. There is nothing boring or lacking in these stories. Finding Freedom was full on action from page 1. The suspense and action never wavers, there is an incredible amount of key characters that could confuse normally, but the writing style just makes everything so clear that you know who everyone is and what their roles are easily. The only time the action and intense plot takes a slower pace is when there is extremely hot bedroom action, but even those scenes are intense and FULL of action. So maybe the pace doesn't slow at all. Lol Yes, I'll just contradict myself in the excitement of this story.
Even though this was Dylan and Vanessa's story, we still get to follow the rest of the team and it's excellent to be able to see how the other couples from the first 2 books are doing down the line. It's like their story continues still.
The ending was WOW! Just like in Finding Trust. Natalie Gayle has such an amazing way of closing someone's story. It was perfectly done with a huge amount of feel good factor to it. I get this automatic 'Awww that was so sweet' kind of feeling when it finishes. Satisfaction, I would say! She manages to leave everything perfectly concluded.
I'm now more desperate to read Quade and Jazz's story, it's the one I've been waiting for, the tension between those 2 was still huge throughout this book. That's going to be fantastic!
HASH(0xb23ebd68) out of 5 stars My new favourite in the series! March 5 2015

This is the third installment of the series and the author provides a longer than normal novel to tell us the story of Dylan “Ice Dragon” Thompson. No book could be long enough for these hot boys of the “Centre” team but this is my new favourite! Dylan was a quieter member of the team so far but he is front and centre as we learn more about this gentle fighter.

When Vanessa Aldridge walks into his gym, Dylan is not sure what to make of her. Lacking in protocol but definitely not in skill or stamina, he still declines her request to train with him. He quickly backtracks on that when he realizes she will be part of his next assignment. Drugs are everywhere and can be found even in the most elite of sports. Driven by unease and her need to see her brother’s fight not be in vain, Vanessa reaches out and finds an unusual ally in her new teacher. They become partners in the fight though trust is not easy to come by.

This book has convinced me that MMA/fighter books need to bubble up more to the top of my TBR list. This book was not just “MMA”, it was a book about love and loyalty, right vs wrong. Vanessa’s struggle to do the right thing was wrenching as she looked at her brother on one side and the man she looked up to as a father on the other. Working together and pretending to be in a relationship provided the perfect backdrop for their romance which was riddled with suspense and twists and turns. It was so good to see the characters I’ve grown to love return here. Watching the back and forth between Jazz and Quade continue is sweet torture. I loved this story and can’t wait for more. Maybe it’s Jazz and Quade’s turn? I hope so!

To say I was hanging out for the next book in The Centre Games series is an understatement so when I had a chance to read Finding Freedom, the third book in the series early, I was very excited.
How do I explain how much I loved Finding Freedom? It was so good to return to the Gold Coast, a place I was familiar with since I grew up in Brisbane. I even went there for my honeymoon, many years ago. So the setting is a winner for me.
Now the boys! HUGE sigh! I fell in love with Bray in Finding Trust, then I fell in love with Rory in Finding Judgement, but I didn’t know much about Dylan. Well, now I’ve fallen in love with Dylan. I liked the way that Natalie Gayle dropped little snippets of information about Dylan’s past which kept me wondering and guessing. Those snippets also kept me reading as quickly as I could and I was annoyed when real life kept interrupting my reading time. Don’t get me wrong, Dylan wasn’t the only reason why I loved this book. Vanessa, the female main character, kept me emotionally involved in this story. I so wanted her to have a HEA.
The Centre Games books all have this element of mystery and suspense that also keep the reader engaged. All the characters in the books are there for a reason and they all make an important contribution to the plot. Did I like them all? Definitely not! However, I did love all the girls. I would want to be friends with these women. I can’t wait to read Jazz and Quade’s story in the next book.
I gave Finding Freedom 5 out of 5 stars.
