Product Description

Product Description

Red Maine’s blue-collared bad boy, North Underwood, has a dirty little secret—Will Tanner.
Friends since kindergarten, North had been the one to jump first, and his fall into Will’s bed ten years ago had been no exception. Will and North had been inseparable, but things change, people grow apart, and even a blazing flame can dwindle to a dying ember over time.

The more things change the more they stay the same.

After a run in with a bottle of Bundy rum, Will and North find themselves in a compromising and all too familiar position.

Blurred lines, bad decisions, and one wrong foot after another lead these two down a spiral of sarcasm, secrets, and sex, but when North’s hetero status is called into question he can’t figure up from down. And despite Will telling himself he wouldn’t fall again, he’s head over heels and wandering without a compass.

Love is love.
Love is truth.
Love … shouldn’t be this damn hard to figure out.

I've only read very few M/M romances before. Having a sexual orientation is part of the person, it doesn't change who that person is underneath. Carmen wrote a wonderful passionate tale of traumatic events, angst, best friends to lover, second chances, self discovery and healing. This story deserves a 5 star review.

Copy of Finding North by Carmen Jenner provided in exchange for an honest and spoiler free review.

This is about Will and North who have been bests friends forever but Will is in love with North. Will as always known his sexual orientation which he as accepted and comfortable with. While in their late teens, one night led to many nights for these 2 best friends. North is not so accepting of his sexual orientation. 12 years ago North betrayed Will to the the point that he broke Will's heart and confidence. They never spoke again, but now North is very conflicted in which he is not very happy with how his life is going. A series of events will draw them closer and get North to accept that he loves Will also.

I truly enjoyed these two characters, both hot headed dominant alpha males. North's number one problem is that he can't open up and love someone when he doesn't know or like who he is. I really felt empathy for these characters because they struggle with inner demons and trying to be comfortable in their own skin.

I can't give enough praise to Carmen for writing about a subject that is still taboo, she has done it with honesty, with a beautiful story telling and symbolism. Finding North is more than a story, it has an amazing message behind every word, sentences and pages. It was an highly entertaining story with a hint of suspense to it.

Story told in dual POV that goes back in forth 12 years in the past.

Finding North by Carmen Jenner.

I absolutely loved this book, it provoked so many emotions and really made you feel for North and Will as they battle to follow their hearts rather than let small minded people destroy their chance of true happiness.
This book deals with issues that unfortunately are around and shows how prejudiced people can be.
There are some heartbreaking parts to this book but it is so well written that you really feel the emotions as they grab you by the heart strings.

I love all of Carmen's books and her writing really touches me and gives me the feels. Her words are so beautifully written but they also contain her trademark "Holy Hotness" scenes.

I have a high standard for my M/M reads and this one is so well done and I fell in love with Will and North over their 30 year friendship/relationship.

Absolutely one of my top M/M reads and I highly recommend this.

Amazing Read!!!

I though this book was very well written. North lives in a small Australian town and seems to be confused about his sexuality. He hooks up with as many chicks as he can find, because that is the "normal" way. Then there is his friend Will who is openly gay and has to live with the abuse that comes with it. North and Will have a past, but North's father was abusive and North feels he had to distance himself from his friend for many years.
I don't want to give too much away about the story, but this book was a great read and I will definitely find other books by this author.
