Product Description

He’s hot, sexy and leads a double life.  Sometimes in the limelight, mostly in the shadows.  Brayden James holds fast to a secret that’s more than his to share.

She’s a singularly focused veterinarian out for a rare night of fun with friends, at a New Year’s Eve rock concert.  Going home with the lead guitarist was farthest from Rihanna Mason’s mind, when the night began.

When Rihanna inadvertently becomes the target of a deadly terrorist plot using the Hendra virus as a biological weapon, Brayden is forced to reveal his other life. His job is to keep her safe and together they must stop the terrorists before it’s too late.  But what happens when she becomes more to him than just the assignment?

Will the secret he cannot disclose, ultimately prove too much for Rihanna’s fragile trust in relationships?  Or will he finally break through the double brick walls around her heart where every other man has failed?

Ask the Author:

Q: So what makes the Centre Games Series special?

A: It's a mix of things, really. When I set out to write these books, I wanted to create something that mirrored exactly the kind of books I like to read. My favourite reads all have a little of everything—romance, suspense, action, adventure.  I don't even mind a little paranormal fantasy or sci-fi done right!  I love a strong storyline and I'll admit to liking some steamy sex!  Basically, anything with a kick-butt attitude and fast-paced style gets my vote, but the romance must be good, oh and did I mention a happy ever after?

The Centre Games Series is a great mix of these genres. You'll find the series focuses on a romantic suspense mystery and thriller theme with a little but very believable paranormal or sci-fi twist.  But unlike most romantic suspense, I've added full character development for our hero and heroine, and some very HOT sexy scenes.  I like to take unusual themes, incidents or threats and use them as the thriller plot line, then I weave a romance story around it.

Overall, the Centre Games series is designed to keep you turning the pages - and I've made sure there's never a dull moment.

Q:  Where are the book set?

A: The books are set on the Gold Coast (Queensland) Australia and are based around a covert quasi government agency that is not government, nor military but rather designed to eradicate biological, agricultural and environmental threats.

Q:  What are the characters like?

A:  My heros are very alpha (you'll understand why when you read the books) and are all very unique.  My ladies are also strong, smart and take-charge.  I often have readers say how they love that all my characters are different and they want them as friends!

Q:  I'm a guy, will I like your books?

A:  Probably, I have a lot of male readers who love the strong storylines.  (as long as you're okay with some red hot romance and sex—all will be good!)

Q - What order should I read the books in?

A - I’ve written the series so you can read the books as standalone, or as a connected series.  If you do want to read them in order to get the most out of the series, I'd suggest the following sequence.

  1. Finding Trust
  2. Finding Judgement
  3. Finding Freedom
  4. Finding Resolution
  5. Coming soon

Centre Games Series eBook Categories:

  • love inspired suspense
  • romantic suspense thrillers
  • romance thrillers steamy
  • romantic suspense hot
  • romantic suspense action adventure
  • romantic suspense military

About the Author

I recently discovered those school vocational assessments are really interesting and probably correct! Who would have thought, hey? You see, I clearly remember taking one of those in Year 11 (for my US friends, I think that equates to junior year in high school). Anyway, semantics. Well, the results came back indicating that I should pursue a career in writing and something else. What that something else was I can’t remember but the writing thing stuck in my mind. Sure, I’d always liked English and had already developed a ravenous appetite for romance novels by the age of sixteen—but who becomes a writer straight out of school? So to cut a long story short, I went to Uni and studied Business and ended up managing large-scale IT projects shortly after. I can’t complain: it’s been a great career. I’ve done some awesome projects and met some incredible people and I won’t be giving it up anytime soon. Anyway, I’ve messed around with a couple of “secret” novels over the years and I finally decided to get serious and finish one. Hence “Finding Trust” came about. And about twenty years later, I’ve finally proved a vocational assessment correct, because I love writing! As to some other stuff about me: I live on the Gold Coast, Australia. I love spending time with my family and friends. When I’m not sitting behind a screen playing with IT or writing, you might find me down the beach playing in the waves on a Jet Ski or a bogey board (both are uber cool). When the weather turns a bit cooler (doesn’t really happen on the Gold Coast), we like to head for the snow. I’ve discovered I have two kids who are kamikaze skiers—they must take after their father. He’s always at me to “release the handbrake.” Apparently I’d ski so much better. I call it a healthy understanding of self-preservation and gravity! I like to think I can fit in a few workouts and martial arts classes each week. This tends to be a figment of my imagination more than reality, unfortunately. I am trying to remedy this, but those damn characters just keep demanding to have their stories told and, well, there’s always another good book to read! I hope you enjoy mine. Please drop me a line. I’m active on Facebook, Twitter, and via email Natalie@nataliegayle.com.au. I’d love to know what you think of my books and well, let’s be truthful—I love talking about books, whether they’re mine or someone else’s. Fiction is just so much more fun than reality!!! Happy Reading Natalie Gayle

Rihanna is thrilled when Brayden, lead guitarist in the band she went to watch, seeks her out. We soon learn he has another job. He is protecting Rihanna who has accidentally become a target of terrorists who are after the Hendra virus to use it as a biological weapon. They want Rihanna because she is a veterinarian and has been researching the virus with her father. The twist here is that Brayden's DNA has been genetically altered along with several operatives in a top secret organization known as the Center so they each have DNA from the animals of the Chinese zodiac signs giving them more strength and speed among other things.

This book had a unique idea. Once I understood the concept of the animal skills/DNA altering, I enjoyed this story. Unfortunately for me the prologue was confusing and didn't make sense. I read it again after finishing the story then I understood it better. But the whole animal DNA concept was beyond me for the most part. I especially found the references to Brayden's animal skills confusing at first.

I love the cover on Finding Trust. A man putting a gun in the back of his pants (no shirt) looks very protective and sexy. Speaking of which there is lots of really hot sex in this story. It's actually bordering on erotica.

If you are looking for something a little different with unique characters try this book. I gave this book 3.5 stars.

I found this book after reading Brave by this author , i really liked that book , i was excited to see more from her and found this one for free. I liked the story , it was a bit slow but the characters were lots of fun,( spoiler alert) not a big fan of the ending though , taking to much time to decide if she wanted to be with him in the end was a turn off and a rush to the wedding . I want to see what the next story has to offer though.

>Book Review – Finding Trust –

>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the first book in the Centre Games series and ends with an HEA.

>Being that this book introduces all the characters that future books will be written about, there are a lot of characters, but only a few get a lot of page time. There are 12 animal human hybrids that were created for the sole purpose of saving the world, one bad guy at a time. For a while, these hybrids were content with their lot in life. When Rihanna is the next target to protect for hybrid, Brayden, his animal instincts scream that she is his mate. At no time did the hybrid creators ever think the hybrids would want marriage and families. Not only does Brayden have to convince the powers that be that he can still do his job, but he deserves happiness, he also has to convince the other hybrids and Rihanna herself. Finding out you are in love with a hybrid human/animal is not that easy to wrap your head around.

>Brayden is so alpha and loving. Rihanna has her moments, but seriously, she cannot make up her mind even when another person is involved. She seems to only listen to what her best friend, Jazz, tells her. Rihanna’s dependent relationship with Jazz, tended to make Rihanna seem child-like.

>I enjoyed seeing the interplay between Rory, Brayden and Quade. Their unique abilities and the setting in Australia tended to make the story extra interesting. A lot of the phrasing and spelling of words are different from United States English and fun to read. I enjoyed the suspense and pacing of this book. The bad guys were unexpected and all over. I can’t wait to read about more of these characters.

>This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving the book 4 stars.

Braden is a rock musician and also works for Centre as an agent. He meets Rihanna at a concert and the sparks fly immediately. Little does she know that he's a hybrid of both animal and human DNA that enhances his abilities. Rihanna is an equine vet who with her father have Bern working on a vaccine for Hedra. Without giving all the book away, I encourage everyone to read this book, and understand that some of the words are spelled differently, after all its based in Australia. I can't wait to read the rest of the series. As the saying goes, Try it you'll like it or in this book, you'll love it.

So far this has been a fine read. I would recommend this for either right- before- bed, or on the beach, a quiet afternoon, etc. There are quite a few dynamic features to the story line. A few twists and tunes, and the characters are pretty well developed. There are a few parts that could be edited slightly better, but I do know most authors on here prefer for their readers to help them out in this aspect.
It was not hard reading by any means, but it was also not an elementary level book. Be prepared for some love scenes. But honestly, sometimes they do add to the storyline, right?
I hope to either purchase more in this series (if there is one) or get the author motivated to write more! Not that this was left with just a cliffhanger or anything, I have just loved how the storyline was developed, and would love to know where this could head into the future. Knowing how the characters have developed, interacted, and have grown leaves me with a lot of hope for more. I always love series/ books where there is a spin- off into a similar setting, but with acquaintances that the characters had, or will have.
Overall, this is a great value and I would highly recommend it. It is a great value for the price, and it simply cannot be beat! I will be purchasing more from this author in the future, and look forward to new releases.

I received this product at a discount for my honest and unbiased review. This review is composed of my own thoughts and views of the product. I am in no way affiliated with the company, and am not being compensated for my honest product review.
5.0 out of 5 stars The land down under is hot and it's not all about the sun... March 5 2015

Brayden James is everything a woman could dream of – strong, rock star handsome, protective and loving. Did I mention he was rich and smoking hot? Rihanna Mason immediately took notice as he switched from heartthrob to rescuer in the blink of an eye. Rihanna was a veterinarian, working with her father in a successful practice while also doing research for the government on the deadly equine Hendra virus. Little did she know her peaceful life just made a complete 180 degrees turn and Brayden was going to be her lifeline through it all.
This full-length novel is the first installment of the Centre Games series and introduces a new team in the fight against biological weapons.

Steamy hot romance mixes with the paranormal in a story that grabs you and takes you on a whirlwind ride. Building the series foundation, Brayden and his team are introduced throughout the story and we learn a lot about him and the men and women that are his chosen family. They are there to support the investigation as well as the romance that is trying to grow amidst mistrust, chaos and confusion. Rihanna is equally supported by her father and best friend Jazz who adds her unique blend of sarcastic wit and common sense to the mix. The characters are all unique but blend perfectly together in a well-written story that kept me hooked from beginning to end. I can’t wait for the next book in the series to return to the land down under and spend more time with the “Centre” family.
