FIRST COMES LOVE-an Amazon Top 20 Bestseller!

First comes love.
Then comes marriage.
Then comes a—

Hold up. You’re joking right? As if life works off a neat little list like that, moving down, checking things off before jumping to the next task. We’re not married. We’re not lovers. Hell, we’re hardly even friends. Noah Wilson isn’t exactly “life partner” material, and he sure as hell isn’t “father material”. He’s my older brother’s best friend, and has been off limits, sworn off, locked in the highest tower and out of reach since we met over ten years ago. With his devilish good looks, tattoos, motorcycle, and trail of broken hearts and tears, I’ve had good reason to stay away from the bad boy my mother warned me about.

Until one night. One stupid, regrettable night that changed both of our lives forever. And now I only have nine months to decide our fate, to see if Noah’s rebel heart is capable of anything more than a one night stand.

This isn’t a love story. This is a life story. And life doesn’t go according to plan.

**Then Comes Marriage, a spin off of First Comes Love, releases June 30th!**

First Comes Love by Emily Goodwin is a sweet older bother best friend forbidden romance with heat. Do you believe in love at first sight? Noah does but Lauren is off limits, bro-code: you can't date your best friend's little sister. Lauren has always played it safe, believing in happily ever after and fairy tale endings. When Lauren's sister encourages her to date a series of unfortunate dates occur - man these guys are "winners". Lauren walks out on one of these horrible dates and ends up at a biker bar she didn't expect to run into Noah. A lot of alcohol later, lack of inhibitions and a pent up sexual tension between Lauren & Noah leads to one night of letting their guard down. One night turns into a lifetime commitment. Lauren has doubts that bad boy Noah can live up to what she needs and Noah doesn't want to be what his father was to him but can he change his ways for good?

First Comes Love is a cute love story filled with awe moments. If you are looking for a hot and spicy read this won't be it but there is some heart warming scenes that make it a worth while read. It has great pacing and I wanted to keep reading chapter after chapter. I enjoyed reading Noah's struggle to become a better man for Lauren and putting his bad boy ways aside for his new family. Love and life doesn't always go according to plan and this novel stays true to just that - life happens and we learn to live with what life throws at us. I give First Comes Love by Emily Goodwin a solid 4 Stars.

They say to never judge a book by it's cover, well in this case I did. Truthfully I had never heard of an author named Emily Goodwin before. When I saw that amazing cover go by with a great blurb that I knew I would like, well I just needed to have this book. Well let me tell you that the ARC of First Comes Love by Emily Goodwin did not disappoint me in the least. It was one memorable journey that I will not forget anytime soon. This awesome story deserves a 5 star review.

I don't want to spoil this amazing journey with a lengthy description of the book. I don't want the readers to feel like they've already read the book before actually doing so. This story needs to be savoured at a leisurely pace even if I devoured it in a day.

It's a classic story of the bad boy and the good girl but with an original twist that I've never read before. Noah as always been off limits to Lauren because he is best friends with her brother. One drunken night that neither remembers leads them down a path none of them were prepared to travel down to. Lauren has always been focused on becoming a veterinarian while Noah is still living a life of bachelorhood. Will Noah get over his insecurities in order to step up to the plate to be the man Lauren needs? Will Lauren forgive him for some of his mistakes?

This story was so engaging, endearing while very much addicting to the point that once I started reading it, I just couldn't put it down. It can be funny at times with a hint of sadness but overall a nice sweet love story with just the right amount of angst.

Wonderfully worded, greatly paced with a seamless plot. The story flowed very well, overall it was just perfect to me.

3.5 out of 5 Stars.
This book definitely had me hooked on the drama and feels. Noah's bad boy ways provided plenty of entertainment and drama. The story was funny, sweet and sexy. I was sort of expecting a surprise or twist in the plot along the way and I was disappointed when I didn't get one. However, the story was very easy to get into and I genuinely connected with the characters.

2.0 out of 5 stars Horrible editing Feb. 19 2016
By Kindle Customer - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
I gave it two stars instead of one because the story wasn't bad. What was horrible was the editing. Just terrible. "I stand and pull my eyes from my pocket" was just one of many. It was extremely distracting. I wish authors would take more pride in their art and not put their name on such sloppiness.

4.0 out of 5 stars Familiar plot, but will still melt your hearts <3 Feb. 11 2016

It’s your familiar plot of the girl crushing on her brother’s best friend – but of course with a dash of surprising twists.

The first time Noah Wilson saw Lauren, he was already mesmerized by her. She was everything he wasn’t. He was nothing but trouble, at a young age, he already has a chip on his shoulder. And her? Besides being his best friend’s sister – she was too good for him. So instead of pursuing, he left her alone.

Years later, while Lauren was busy waiting for the reply to the vet school she was applying to, Noah was still busy making trouble. One bad date led them to each other’s arms one night. And that one single night have changed their lives forever. Now, it’s up to Noah to prove to Lauren that he was more than just some bad boy. That he can change, that he can be good to Lauren. Perhaps this was a blessing in disguise. Something that he had been secretly waiting for a while. It’s up to him not to ruin it.
I want an epic love, one that can stand the test of time and a villain or two, and come out stronger in the end.
Lauren was a dreamer. She wanted a prince charming and a happy ever after with someone who would slay dragons for her. Would she ever settle for this bad boy?

You can’t deny that there was already attraction brewing between the two of them. Nevertheless, they allowed their relationship to grow as they get to learn more about each other. Noah still has some issues concerning his past, his childhood and his parents – and getting him to open up was pretty much hard when it comes to this topic. But besides that issue, you can certainly feel how much he wanted her in his life, and how much he wanted to show her that he was worthy of her. That alone made me fall for him.

I enjoyed reading this story, and finished this in one sitting. Clearly, their love story didn’t really started out right, the journey was a bit bumpy ride – nevertheless it was a memorable, sweet ride that will melt hearts.

2.0 out of 5 stars major editing needed Feb. 21 2016
By Amazon Customer - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
Major editing needed. I really wanted to like this story. It had a great plot, but the mistakes were very distracting. One or two are fine, but when the mistakes interfere with the readability, it just isn't ok anymore. The straw that broke my back was when there was "a knot at the door." With some good editing and a couple of minor plot changes for continuity, I would have given this one 4 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 stars is not enough! Feb. 18 2016

Oh wow, I am so in love with this book!

It's amazing how Emily managed to create a story about unwanted pregnacy, a thing that happens everyday and everywhere. She describes it in an amazing way. The author has created a story about what happens when your one night stand has unexpected results and you are not ready at all for them. All the stress that comes with it. And the mixed feelings!

I love how the things happened between Lauren and Noah, a story about true love, about stigmas and daily life problems.

The way their relationship developed is beautiful, I felt so connected with the characters, because it's a story so glued to reality, and it's awesome to read about how their love for each other grew from the moment they met, but had to shut up and do nothing because of the complicated relationship between them, her being Noah's best friend little sister.

This is a story about sadness, a little bit regret and resentment, but after all a story about pure and inconditional love.

Besides, the plot is so funny, I found myself laughing so hard with this book, mostly because I understand Lauren's obssesion, organization. I feel so identified with her in all levels, except the pregnacy one.

So go get this story, with and amazing plot, memorable characters, lots of love and fun and your new and favorite book boyfriend/bad boy '

You will laugh, you will cry, you will have your heart broken, but it's going to be put together again by the loving bad boy not so bad boy Noah!

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 stars!! Feb. 11 2016
By Reviews from the Heart - Published on

This is a beautiful and touching love story about two people who have their current paths derailed and end up taking a whole different direction than they had ever planned on and I loved reading this! This is the most realistic love story I’ve read in quite a while and I find the fact that it is a situation that many couples can, and often do, find themselves in made this that much more enjoyable for me. I have been in Lauren’s shoes in my own life and unfortunately didn’t end up with the same outcome as what occurs here, but this definitely made this story speak to me on a much more personal level. I love how this author addresses the fact that not all relationships start off on a great note and that even the most unreliable of situations can become something beautiful and happy if only given the chance. My heart went out to both Lauren and Noah since obviously they did not come together under the most ideal of circumstances. And given Noah’s history I was very concerned over whether he’d end up making the right choice and doing the right thing in the end. This book brought me to tears at several points while reading this, some from sadness and others from truly touching moments.
Lauren is a very strong person and I admired the fact that she was willing to make some pretty difficult choices in order to do what is necessary, even if it broke my heart to watch her have to go through this. This author has an incredible ability to create characters that are not only easy to relate to, but that it truly feels as if we really know them on a deeper level and that really made this book speak to me. I love the fact that we are provided with an epilogue that gives us such an incredible window into these character’s future lives so we are able to see how everything plays out for them over a long period of time. There isn’t one single thing I would change about this book and I thoroughly enjoyed reading every single page of this beautiful story. I highly recommend this book and this author to anyone to read.
