About the Author

The author: Edinaldo do Espirito Santo was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil in April 1970. Since the age of five he had a passion for reading, although he was only allowed to attend school at the age of seven, two months before he had his eighth birthday. At the age of seventeen he enrolled for the first time in a language course and studied English at Fisk Schools, an American popular language school in Brazil. At the age of 23 he finished a degree in languages, but left his office job a year before and started teaching English to children, teenagers and adults. In 1996 he went to the USA to improve his English at Florida International University and in 1998 he came to England for the first time, living in London for five months, but couldn’t manage to survive in one of the most expensive cities in the world and had to go back to Brazil. In 2000 he decided to return to England and try once again. Sixteen years later and he is still living in London. Now at the age of 46 he has his own company called London Lessons Ltd, founded in June 2011, where he teaches Brazilian Portuguese to English and foreigner students. He spent most of these sixteen years teaching for Colleges around London such as International House, North Kingston Centre and Lambeth College, to mention a few and has worked for big organisations as translator, proof-reader and interpreter. He spends most of his time teaching, writing, drawing and trying to learn how to play the guitar. Technology is also a great part of his life and everything he does, in one way or another involves a computer and the Internet.
