A fun read. The formatting is a bit odd at first, with the line spacing being a bit larger than I'm used to, but you get used to it. While not set in the canon of any particular game, the book gives an interesting insight on the world outside of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza and the people that interact with it. While there are rather a lot of characters introduced at a rapid pace, the dialogue and interactions are unique enough to help them stand out individually. And while the animatronics might not always be at the forefront, which might disappoint some people, I found that this increased the sense of tension and fear that I derived from the first game, because while you might not see them all the time, you begin to dread the moments when they appear, knowing full well that they're up to no good. Most fascinating of all, though, is finally getting to meet a certain character that is very prominent in the games, and getting to learn how Scott views how they tick and what motivates them.

I'd like to start this review by saying, I am a HUGE FNaF fan. I've followed the series since before even Markiplier played it for the first time.

When I found out that this would be a book, I realized how much of a bookworm I've always been and marked my calendar.

This is an amazing read and is really cool to find that the storyline is so related to the lore, yet not at the same time.

Bottom line; If you're a Five Nights fan like me, or just a bookworm, or just enjoy horror novels, or all at the same time (again, like me) this book is a great read. I'd highly recommend it.

Read it in one day because 1) it was awesome, 2) I wanted to finish it before the GT stream today :P

It was great, you only realize at the end at its not related to the games other than vaguely but I don't think I would have enjoyed it if it weren't for the games and all the theorizing. I was able to picture everything in my head thanks to the games.

Honestly loved the character development. Loved the pace. First real horror book I ever read yet I still loved it. Ending was really satisfying which is rare. Loved it. 5 stars

As a fan of the lore in the original games, this book is a lot of fun to read, but I'm not sure if it would be even half as good to
someone not already familiar with the animatronics.
Having said that, a lot of things that should have been twists and reveals were pretty obvious to me, but to someone who isn't familiar with the source material, they may be genuinely surprised.
Despite a couple glaring typos and editing errors, I'd still recommend this book to anyone who thinks robots are scary.

-All characters were unique and likable- something rare for horror stories.
-the adults were NOT portrayed as dumb and useless, thank god.
-the pacing was PERFECT. Each chapter served a purpose and no scene felt like it dragged on or felt too rushed.
-a great narrative for both fans of FNAF and people looking for a thrilling, standalone story.

I never buy books based off of games but had to buy this one. Thinking it would explain more about the games I instead found myself In a very well-written version of the games. Its own characters and references to make the fans happy and just a very good read. I start reading for 5 minutes and an hour goes by. Awesome job! Will buy physical copy to support

this story was much better than I was expecting and has deepened my appreciation for the FNaF world. it gives more meaning, more emotion and more purpose to the characters we came to know from the video games. I'd recommend it to every FNaF fan for sure, but also non FNaF fans could easily enjoy this.

This book was amazing! It dropped little details that was missed from the game, which is pretty exciting in my opinion. I am still left pondering the death of Purple Guy... Was the night 5 end cutscene a brief idea? Nothing at all? I don't know heh. STILL IS GR8 BOOK
