Product Description

Two people haunted by their past…
The collision of two damaged hearts…
Meet Elizabeth Williams. She is at the airport on an important work assignment. If everything goes smoothly, after three years of hard work, she’ll get a promotion and a much-needed raise. Elizabeth is putting her life back on track after it was ripped out from under her feet four years ago when she lost her parents along with all her dreams. Standing here, she believes her life is going to change for the better any moment now. Nothing can go wrong, right?
Meet Ryan Price. He came to Moscow on business. Right now, Ryan is standing at the airport looking at a ‘present’ from his brother, judging by the sign a beautiful young woman is holding. Damn his brother for not cancelling this arrangement as Ryan asked.
Miscommunications and misunderstandings and a love story begins.
There will be a scary flight, lovely breakfasts, long evening conversations, sharing a secret or two, discovering one another, a lot of laughter, tender moments and some tears, a fight and, of course, the I-am-ready-for-the-end-of-the-world kiss.
Somewhere along the way, they won’t be able to fight their feelings any longer.
For the first time in his life, Ryan will experience a different shade of lust. And for the first time in her life, Elizabeth will have to trust despite all of the times she has been hurt.
Will these two wounded lost souls find love, peace and comfort in each other or will they just break each other more? Is it a train wreck of a love story or a happily ever after?

First....Wow!, just Wow!.. What an Outstanding story! I couldn't put it down. I read it in a day.
The most amazing story of fate and destiny that I have read in a while. ...Ryan and Elizabeth meet by accident, an accident that ultimately decides their fate. I really enjoyed watching all the characters grow and develop, especially Ryan & Elizabeth. I got to know them at the same time they got to know each other. Theirs is a love story, but it's hard won and a long really tough journey for both of them. They are two vey different people from very different backgrounds. Elizabeth is an only child of parents that adored & cherished her. She lost them in a plane crash and went to live with her grandmother who she now cares for. She works to pay the medical bills, so her own life is on hold.
Ryan Price and his younger brother Mark come from a loveless home. His father was a heartless man, married for money to build his empire and was never home. He forced Ryan to groom for taking over someday under the threat of protecting his brother from a secret that would shatter the boys life. His Mother died when Mark was born, but still his only memory of her was with a drink in her hand, she hated him and the child she carried and had no problem telling him so.
So here we have two people, Elizabeth, a caring, giving but still grieving young woman, and Ryan, a devastatingly handsome man who has no heart, he uses women as a release, He knows all they want is his money, he doesn't believe in love because he has never felt or gotten love. He has no time for anything else as he is determined to destroy what the old man built now that he is dead...... When Ryan & Elizabeth meet there is an instant attraction, So this story is their story......

Since the tragic death of her parents, Elizabeth Williams has been living in Moscow, trying to make ends meet and desperately trying to bury the pain that threatens to consume her. She has a job that pays well and is hopeful for a promotion soon. While she’s waiting at the airport to pick up important clients for her boss, she mistakenly picks up the handsome and charismatic Ryan Price. The initial meeting between Elizabeth and Ryan is hilarious. He’s in Moscow on business and thinks that Elizabeth is a prostitute his brother arranged for him. He angrily leaves the airport with her and brings her back to the hotel, dismissing her in the lobby. Unbeknownst to Elizabeth, Ryan is the wrong client. Her cell phone is dead and she is determined not to screw up her promotion opportunity so she waits in the lobby for him hoping to salvage their rocky introduction. Ryan is attracted to Elizabeth so he decides to take her for breakfast and then back up to his room. When Elizabeth realises the mistake, she is horrified and rushes away.

This hilarious first meeting allows Elizabeth to work her way under Ryan’s skin and he realises that although his time in Moscow is supposed to be short, he needs to know more about Elizabeth. He seeks her out and although she does her best to brush him off he’s persistent. They head to a nightclub for some dirty dancing and a passionate lip lock on the dance floor. At this point things really start to pick up. Feeling guilty for getting Elizabeth fired, Ryan invents a job for her within his company, as a personal assistant traveling throughout Europe. Elizabeth’s grandmother is suffering from Alzheimer’s and is in an expensive care facility, so after some reservations Elizabeth accepts the job offer.

Flawed and Damaged is about a young woman named Elizabeth who, after the death of her parents and certain circumstances, moved to Moscow to live with her grandmother. Struggling to pay the bills, she accepts an assignment from her boss that after completing would assure her a salary raise and paid tuition.

Her assignment: Pick up the potential investors from the airport, take them to the hotel then accompany them to the office for the meeting.

Enter Ryan Price, head of Price Corp. He’s a bossy workaholic and the definition of ‘tall, dark and handsome’. He arrives in Moscow and sees Elizabeth holding up a sign for him. Their meeting was amusingly awkward, especially because of whom Ryan thought she really was.
Instantly attracted and wanting to spend more time with her, Ryan eventually propositions a one month job that she would receive $20,000 for doing. She accepts. Of course she does, who could turn that down sexy man? The money would just be an added bonus.

I enjoyed Flawed and Damaged, I didn’t love it. I liked that the book was told in alternating POVs, but I felt the writing and pacing didn’t flow in the first and last 20%. The in-between was well written though, as was the build-up of their relationship. I couldn’t really connect with Elizabeth and I think it’s because of how innocent and insecure she was. I loved Ryan though. He came off as rude when you first meet him but then he turns into this loving and protective man. He searched for appropriate terms of endearment for her! Cue swoon. That scene was by far my favorite.

There were a few good secondaries throughout the book, but Mark (Ryan’s younger brother) stood out the most. He’s humorous and caring but a complete player. He has a female “assistant” everywhere he travels.

HASH(0xa19bea14) out of 5 stars I really liked the idea of this story Sept. 26 2014
By Neighbor Hillary - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Flawed and Damaged by Emily Krat
2.5 stars
Where to start… I really liked the idea of this story, but it ended up lacking in the execution.

The POV switched back and forth between Elizabeth and Ryan, which works most of the time. When the POV would switch the story jumped back to things we already read from the other POV. In this case, the rehash did not provide enough insight into the other character and did not allow the story to simply move forward.

Another issue I had was with the dialogue between characters. When the characters discussed something, they would confirm the confirm of what they talked about. To add to this, the same conversations were repeated through the story between the same characters.

I almost stopped reading 25% into the book, but I pushed through to complete the story. The premise of this story has a lot of promise. If the author could go back and re-edit to clean up these things the story would flow much better. Unfortunately, this took away from the chemistry between Elizabeth and Ryan and I just did not enjoy my reading experience.

HASH(0xa19bea68) out of 5 stars Tanya the book obsessed momma's review!! Aug. 17 2014
By Tanya_TBOM - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Flawed and Damaged is the perfect title for this book! Both Ryan and Elizabeth are flawed, damaged and carry baggage. Yet, despite all the baggage they have found one another in the most interesting of places.

Meet Elizabeth. Her parents are deceased and she's now trying to take care of her Grandmother who is in a nursing home. She's a doting and loving Granddaughter.
Fate unexpectedly throws Ryan Price into her life. And that comes with a significant price. Yet, she can't say no despite all the sadness she has endured.

Ryan Price was to meet someone his brother set up for him for business. He thinks that person is Elizabeth. He's got baggage and doesn't trust easily, which makes things difficult for himself as well as Liz.

These two together are incredible. They are also frustrating and act like typical people in everyday life in some circumstances. You will fall in love with them and want to yell at them a time or two as well. :)

Elizabeth you will love! You will fall in love with her personality and way she handles people and just her overall character. She's wonderful. I am sad for all she had to endure and still does endure. I love that she gets Ryan. I love that she really sees beneath his exterior.

Ryan... yum! Swoon and yum! He's possessive and even demanding... yet you will love him! I loved watching him grow and seeing what Elizabeth does to him. It's remarkable and all the mushy things he does.. loved them!

This book is intense. There are fights, lies, omissions, friendships, funny moments, amazing love, development and growth.... oh so much that will suck you right into this fabulous book!

You will devour it in all one sitting and then wish you could have book 2!!

The end of this book... Wow! I loved it! I think that was perfectly done and realistic. However, with that teaser/intro to book 2 I'm devastated and can't wait for it!!!

I loved this book. The intensity of it all sucked me in and I was blown away by the passion and connection Ryan and Elizabeth had from the moment they met! Amazing!

4.5 stars from me!!!

HASH(0xa19beea0) out of 5 stars This is a story of two souls that are damaged from events and people in their past. Dec 7 2014
By TSRBR - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Overall Rating: 4 Rockin' ★★★★

Life is not always easy and sometimes the choices we must face are not from decisions we have made. This is the story of two souls that are damaged from events and people in their past. They find themselves flawed because of the past and their futures uncertain.

Elizabeth Williams has finally convinced her boss to give her more responsibility. She is to meet a prospective client at the airport, get them settled into their hotel and then have them at their meeting with her boss on time. All she has to do is hold up a sign and wait for the client at the airport, easy assignment right? What could possibly go wrong? When an incredibly hot man walks up and tells her to put the sign down and glowers at her, she is totally unprepared for the attraction pumping through her. This is the client that she is supposed to take care of and she cannot even speak!

He cannot believe the beautiful woman that is holding up the sign that says Pegasus. Ryan Price knows this is another one of his brother's jokes trying to a reaction. His brother Mark is the only person cares anything for, but sending one of his "assistants" to pick him up at the airport is not going to work even if she pulls him like no other woman ever has! He doesn't want anything to do with one of Mark's seconds. When he looks into her eyes, he finds that he cannot deny the feelings she arouses. How can someone look so pure, so innocent and do what she does for a living? The longer Ryan is around her the more he wants to be with her.

Both of them are hiding secrets from each other and only truth will set them both free. Can Elizabeth open up her heart and share her past with Ryan? Will Ryan be able to accept the gift of Elizabeth and move past his feels of inadequacies? Or will the past keep them prisoners?

Hero: Ryan Price 4
Heroine: Elizabeth Williams 4
Plot: 4
Steam Level: 4
Cliffhanger: Yes

Would I recommend this book: Yes. This is the first part of a series. It tells the beginning of a beautiful and troubled love story between to special people.

Would I recommend this author: Yes. The author has created a story of love, lust and possible happily ever after in the first book of her new series. The characters and plot are creative and enthralling.

5 Frustrating Stars but all good.

I was given this book for my honest review

At some point in our lives we all try and make the perfect bread. From the rising of the yeast to the baking in the oven to the perfection we get when we taste our homemade confection for the first time. We all hope it turns out just right. Even as we succeed we always try to make the taste better.

Elizabeth-Kind, sweet, pretty

Ryan-hunky and reserved

Elizabeth is a girl on a mission that wants to save the world to some extent. She never thinks that she would ever be saved from the harsh world but to those around her she feels like a little lost child searching for the unknown. What happens when she can’t take care of everything around her and her world comes crashing down? Will someone save her? Does this someone exist? Elizabeth has known hardship but always seems to think the positive in all that comes her way. She has fears but keeps them hidden within her. Does she not deserve happiness when it comes her way or will she fear it and run in the other direction? Does happiness come with strings?

Ryan has always been the man on a mission but what is this mission? He has his lifelong goals that he swears that he will never falter. Can he succeed at these goals or will a wrench be thrown his way by a beauty? This woman bewilders him to no avail. Can she be the one woman to capture his heart and keep it for all eternity? Can he finally let go of the mission and per sue this woman but at the same keeping true? Can he finally find love?

Ryan and Elizabeth’s path is one that is difficult right from the start. Each has their unique way of looking at the world which makes them only stronger together. She has the I can save the world and he has the I can’t be saved attitude but as they walk this path will they stay on it together or will they take separate paths when the fork comes into play? Can they each make it together or do they end up walking separate paths? For these answers and more please pick up this fabulous read.
Did I mention that the sex when these two finally get together is so hot you have to stand back. Woohoo

To the author: This is an amazing book that had me on pins and needles from page 1 and kept me going till the very last word was read. This book was frustrating at times but in all the right places and had me wanting to scream at both Ryan and Elizabeth cause they both seemed to have the proverbial stick up their butts at times lol but in the end this was an amazing read.

Happy Reading

HASH(0xa19c4360) out of 5 stars I cried and I'm a tough cookie, this story broke me! July 25 2014
By Tina E. Williams - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this story. I haven't cried so hard over a book in ions. I am tough! This story broke me. I was 100% drawn in and glued to my seat for hours. I was biting my nails with worry, crying my eyes out with Elizabeth and Ryan, and laughing my ass off at their wildly absurd circumstances. The breakfast scene at the Ignis Hotel nearly slew me. I was laughing so hard, I could barely breath.

Elizabeth, "In fact, this the first serious assignment my boss has given me."

Ryan, "why do these words seem to be the best one's I've heard? I am beyond glad. I am ecstatic! She must be very new to the escort business. I am more than willing to be her first "serious assignment". With all my being. I just want to sink inside her as deeply as possible, to feel her sweet body against mine...While I imagine her pink full lips around my dick, Elizabeth keep mumbling something under her breath. I don't want to talk with her any more. Now that I know I can have her. I don't want to wait, not even a second."

Ryan doesn't realize that Elizabeth isn't on "that kind" of assignment. When he learns his mistake, and the repercussions it cost her, he manipulate Elizabeth's whole life. You see, Ryan is accustomed to barking orders to his employees and doesn't see a damn thing wrong with that.

Elizabeth is orphaned after her parents are killed in fiery plane crash. She's so damaged by it, that even years later, she can not bring herself to even accept any relationship. Not even friendship. Yet, as Ryan's "employee" she allows herself to open up and get out of her head. Far out of her head, more like head over heels. : )

Emily Krat's debut novel is powerful! Sexy and erotic to the umpteenth power. Not your typical erotic boom-shack-a-lack-a eithr. It is first and foremost about two flawed and damaged people. It is so ell written and realistic, you will feel like you are watching a movie. (Would make a great movie too!) Krat's writing abilities will have you riveted from the first sentence and not leave you frustrated in the end.

Gotta Go!! Must read it again, and again...
