About the Author

Born 1976 in Passau, Bernhard Weidgans started to study chemistry in 1995 in Regensburg. His diploma work in 2001 described the syntheses of fluorescent markers for bioanalytical applications. In his PhD thesis, he worked on the optimization of optical pH sensors. Since 2004 Bernhard Weidgans is process engineer for Infineon in Regensburg.
