Product Description

The Ab Flyer is a revolutionary exercise device that is taking abdominal training in a whole new direction. Unlike traditional crunches, which work your abs from the “top down,” the Ab Flyer works your abs from the “bottom up,” while limiting stress to your neck , back and shoulders.Gymnasts and bodybuilders have known this secret for years: to get a strong, lean core necessary for competition, they work their abs from the bottom up.The Hanging Leg Raise is a “bottom up” exercise that is highly effective for developing great abs.But it is a very difficult exercise to perform. Here’s why. The exercise requires not only tremendous upper body strength to hang from a bar, but it also requires you to perform a lower abdominal contraction while lifting the entire weight of your lower body. This exercise sounds hard because it is hard. In fact, for the average person, this exercise is nearly impossible. But not anymore. The Ab Flyer makes this difficult exercise possible for anyone to perform. Its weight-bearing design eliminates the need to hang from a bar and places the user in a comfort-able kneeling position off the floor. The Ab Flyer guides you through a perfect lower abdominal lift while eliminating strain to your neck, back and shoulders. The Ab Flyer engages your abs from start-to-finish, giving you a continuous core contraction with every repetition. The free motion seat adjusts to target your obliques at every angle for a complete abdominal workout. The Ab Flyer is built with the highest quality materials, yet it can be folded in seconds so you can store it almost anywhere from the closet to under the bed and is ready when and where you are!

HASH(0x96a45060) out of 5 stars Ok but not great Oct. 21 2011

Had the ab coaster 500, but the lower rollers wore out in one week. So I thought we would give the ab flyer a try. It was smooth, with less moving parts that touch each other. But it takes allot more reps to get to the core of your abs, and it was painful on my lower back as well as my wifes. We do a 45 minute work out every morning in our home gym, so its not like we just statred either. The resitance knobs also came loose pretty easy so you are messing with those allot as well. The cheesy pin tab that locks in the knee pad was also bent right out of the box,so that was a safety concern also. We returned the ab flyerto Amazon and spent more money on the Ab Coaster 750 model. Its great and has better rollers and stainless steel frame tubes for less wear and tear. Spend the money and get this one, you wont be sorry. Cheers DW

HASH(0x96926f54) out of 5 stars Could Be Better Jan. 30 2012

I'll start with the positives. It was very easy to put together, even for someone like me that isn't that handy. It is fairly light weight and doesn't take up a lot of room when folded in. It is easy to use. I use it when I'm watching television. Now for the not so good things. The thing that annoys be the most is the pin that rotates the seat does not sit snuggly in the position to exercise. It is also hard on the arms. My arms were more sore than my abs.

Only took 20 minutes to put together out of the box. Workes as advertised. The Ab Flyer is very sturdy and handeles 300 pound 6' 4" man with no problem. The abilaty to turn and hit the muscles on the sides is good too.
