Why is an electric steamer useful?
Unlike with boiling, steamed vegetables never come into direct contact with water, meaning their vitamins and minerals are preserved. Steaming is also a healthier cooking method than frying, as the process doesn't require any fattening oil.
A steamer makes preparing a meal very efficient. Typically coming with a set of two to three tiers, electric steamers allow you to cook more than one dish at one time. For example, you can steam rice and vegetables in different compartments.
As they don't require oil, electric steamers are frequently easy to clean. They are also dishwasher safe, meaning that cleaning your electric steamer is just as easy as using it. They also tend to be compact, meaning they won't take up too much space in the kitchen.
