Product Description

Book one of the New York Times and USA Today bestselling Shattered Hearts Series, a sexy second chance rock star romance.

Sometimes, it takes more than love to mend a shattered heart.

After eight years of being tossed from one foster home to another, Claire arrives at the home of Jackie Knight and her son, tattooed guitarist Chris Knight. Chris becomes Claire’s first friend and first love. But Chris's dreams of musical stardom and her need for a stable home put their love in jeopardy. Chris struggles with his plans for the future, entirely reluctant to leave Claire behind; until Claire does something that may break their love — and the only home she’s comes to know — forever.

Due to strong language and sexual situations, this book is not recommended for readers under the age of eighteen.

Like myself, a lot of you have probably already read the Shattered Heart series. And you probably felt the same way as I did. It was such an amazing series. It was perfect. But now that I’ve read Forever Ours…. Wow. This takes this series to a whole new level.

You learn so much more about their story and come to appreciate the characters and sacrifices they made so much more. For the people who have not read this series, I cannot speak highly enough about it.

In Forever Ours, the author takes you on a journey through the lives of two young people. A story of love, sadness, and sacrifices. It is so beautifully written. You will become more connected to the characters with each page you read. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry. You’ll become part of the story. The characters will become real to you. And it will leave you wanting more. And that, for me, is when you know you are reading something amazing.

Such a beautiful story, which I highly recommend.

HASH(0xa3466b34) out of 5 stars Priced way too high. Jan. 19 2016

BE PREPARED FOR A CLIFFHANGER AND HAVE YOUR VISA READY TO FORK OUT ANOTHER $3.99 FOR PART 2 and $3.99 for each of the 7 in the series. As I read more of the reviews of the following books I'm glad I didn't bother with any more.

I got FOREVER YOURS in a box set so had no idea I was reading part of a series.

The book was good but I read a book or more a day and to have to pay that much for just part 2, (and there are more after that), infuriated me.

HASH(0xa321f318) out of 5 stars Perfect prequel to a perfect series May 26 2014

The Shattered Hearts series (Relentless, Pieces of You and Bring Me Home) is one of my favourite series, I thoroughly enjoyed all three books. But now having read the prequel to this series ‘Forever Ours” I have a whole new appreciation for these books and it has made me want to read them all over again. (By the way, highly recommend that you read this first before the others if you haven’t read them yet.)

In Forever Ours, we are taken right back to the beginning, when young Claire arrives at the home of Jackie and Chris Knight. We witness their first meeting and then over time watch as they grow closer together and more deeply in love. In Forever Ours, we learnt so much more about these two beautiful people, their hopes, their dreams, their pains and their fears. I laughed and cried reading this book, enjoying their highs, and feeling their lows. I thoroughly enjoyed going back to the beginning in Forever Ours and taking this journey with Chris and Claire at the time when they first discovered each other. Beautifully written as always.

This was a good read an I really enjoyed it but it pretty much left me hanging in the end. I want to know what happens between Chris and Claire. It kinda left me bummed out in the end.

HASH(0xa3466d50) out of 5 stars My heart is shattered March 16 2016

There were things I absolutely loved about this book and things I didn't like. First let me say that I am an avid reader that typically devours good books in less than 2 days time. Two things happened out of my norm with this book. The first is that after only reading 25% I went and purchased the box set (I always wait until I finish book one before buying the next book). The box set was cheaper than buying the books individually. Individually priced the books are too expensive for how quick they read. The second is that once I hit 50% I began to slow my reading down. I would find excuses to stop reading and not because the book was bad. But because I was trying to slow down the inevitable. The sense of foreboding was so strong. I could tell I was reading towards a heartbreak and I wasn't ready.

I love the dual points of view. And as a native of North Carolina, I really enjoyed the setting. I think the foundation of the plot was pretty good and the characters are likable. I think they are worth investing more of my time into. But I also think the book deserved more of an investment from the author.

There were a few things I didn't like. I didn't like the bit of time hopping. It made the story flow less fluidly. (Mild spoilers ahead †*******************) There were important events that I felt got hopped over. The conversation on Claire's 18th birthday telling Jackie about their relationship seems pivotal yet it is missing. I also feel that a conversation was needed after accidentally having sex without a condom. Waiting for sex because of claire wanting to avoid pregnancy makes this oversight very out of character for her. That conversation is glaringly absent when it becomes obvious that the lack of protection becomes not an exception but a norm. I also feel that there is a huge hole by leaving out much of the events, conversations and even arguments over the course of the summer as Chris prepares to leave. Without these talks i just cant fathom why they decide to give up. My heart may not have been able to take those talks, but I really feel the reader needs to witness those fights in order to become more invested in these people. I also think dropping out of college deserves more than a blurb, it warrants an explanation. I realize that this book was written AFTER the next books in the series and is meant to be a prequel. But when you number a book as #1 in the series then you must expect new readers to be unaware that this book was written out of order. They won't know that certain holes in the story may be filled in the other books. And those readers may be very frustrated that key elements have been omitted. Frustrated readers don't buy the rest of the series. It seems apparent that the author is intentionally omitting important details. I really hope the rest of the series soothes my dissatisfaction with where this book ended up. Honestly, i am not sure i would have both the boxed set if i had waited until i finished the book. Because while i like the characters and the story foundation, i feel a bit cheated. I also hate when I watch the percentage of the story left and with more than 5% left in the book yet the book is over and the author has filled the back of the book with other stuff. With this book I was 78% done when the book ended. That is VERY unfair and misleading.

Have you ever read a book/series that just touched you so much that it stayed on your mind? Well, that's what Cassia Leo has done to me! Forever Ours brought me back to all the feelings I had reading the Shattered Hearts series. You get to see the blooming of Chris and Claire's relationship. I cried like a baby reading this book even knowing what is in store for everyone. Reading Forever Ours makes me want to read the entire series all over again. It is just that good!
