Bought from Canada yet living in the U.S. These appear to be WB prints, as opposed to the ones for sale on Amazon U.S. which are CreateSpace print on demand, plus these a better price. What's up with that Amazon? Nobody, including ABC and WB, seems to realize that there are still millions of dedicated Forever fans starving for anything extra they can get their hands on, which includes the deleted scenes.

Forever was that one in a million show that you absolutely fell in love with from the moment it hit the screen. The U.S. had 7+ million DVR+7 viewers, it tied with Person Of Interest for finale viewers, and was in the top five of many other countries' weekly watched series regularly, even beating out their own productions. ABC will go down in history along with Fox (Firefly) as making one of the worst entertainment executive decisions ever.

Binge on murderous crime, historical fiction and ageless romance in this genre-bending mystery series. Forever weaves through centuries of Dr. Henry Morgan's immortal journey by way of a sharp modern crime procedural with a great big heart. The venerable star, Ioan Gruffudd [Yo'an Grih'fith] (Amazing Grace, King Arthur, Fantastic Four) proves his leading man versatility ranging between nuanced vulnerability and violent action with seamless transition. He handsomely transforms the character through cultural ages and voices mellifluous narration that first straps you down then tucks you in for the mystery history ride.

The clever, unconventional family of characters stand out with multi-faceted depth, portrayed by an accomplished cast in sumptuous settings. Best of all, the investigative team is well matched in wit, wisdom, and folly. Every character pulls their weight, a hallmark of the Matt Miller TV team (Chuck, The 100) which has whipped up another alchemy of cast, story, and production value.

You'll care deeply what happens to Dr. Henry Morgan and all those in his life, Judd Hirsch (Taxi, Independence Day 1 & 2) playing Abe the father who's really a son, Alana De La Garza (Law & Order, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders) as Jo, a discerning partner who sees the secrets in others but not herself , Donnie Keshawarz (Sopranos, Castle) as Hanson the punk busting tough guy, but a pushover with his kids, Lorraine Toussaint (Orange Is the New Black, Selma, Rosewood) as the captain who defies the grumpy, ineffectual stereotype with humorous insight, and Joel David Moore (Avatar, Bones) as Lucas, the wannabe filmmaker trapped in the body of a coroner's assistant.

The cast brings to life this exquisitely written, taught mystery thriller series with great affection and shocking villainous revelations. Forever satisfies, and still leaves you wanting more.

Forever was the one of the BEST shows on TV. It had it ALL! GREAT storytelling kept you wanting to see the next episode, GREAT actors and GREAT writing!! I just can't understand WHY no networks wanted to pick it up after ABC decided to cancel it in the final moments :( VERY VERY SAD viewer right here!! HOPEFULLY if the sales of the DVD meets upto their expectations, Warner Brothers can use the numbers to continue to shop for a second season. Us FOREVERISTS aren't ready for Dr. Henry Morgan's death yet!!!

I was delighted to finally be able to purchase this excellent crime/murder mystery series starring Ioan Gruffudd, as Dr. Henry Morgan. Filmed in New York City, the premise here is the good doctor is a 200 year old immortal who dies and comes back to life always emerging from water. Henry was the doctor on board what seems to have been a slave ship, and in refusing to let the ship's captain (I believe that is who this character is) shoot a blue eyed slave by standing in front of him and shielding him with his body, is shot, killed and dumped overboard. This is the beginning point of Henry's resurrection cycle throughout history to present day New York City, where he is working as a medical examiner in the Morgue. He helps the police department solve a crime involving the crash of a New York City subway, in which he is first thought to be involved having been one of the passengers on board at the time of the accident. After convincing Detective Jo Martinez (Alana De La Garza) and her colleagues of his innocence, he helps them solve what turns out to have been an orchestrated "accident". He continues to help them solve deaths that turn out to be murders rather than accidents. Henry's reasoning and powers of detection are what makes this series work along with the interaction between the other main characters in this series. He lives with his son, Antique Dealer Abe (Judd Hirsch), who could well be his father based on his appearance. Abe was adopted by Henry and his wife Abigail (Mackenzie Mauzy) during World War ll, having been orphaned when his parents were taken to a concentration camp. Abigail only appears in flashbacks as she seems to have just walked out on Henry and Abe without any explanation.Read more ›

This was such a great show, with well-rounded, interesting characters and a fun premise! It's a shame that it only lasted the one season. It's also a shame that the only way for us in the States to get a good copy of the series is to order it from Canada, since the U.S. release is essentially an on-demand knock-off. Thank you, Canada, for doing right by an underappreciated television program!
