I got this to put on my Grizzly G0700 slider while my Ridge Carbide is being sharpened. I had two of them and one "died" and I forgot so when I needed a replacement I got this one. I've been using the Freud with a negative rake tooth on my Bosch 10" axial glide and it's been a great blade so I thought I'd try this.
I'm very pleased with it overall but it isn't quite the blade the Ridge is for crosscutting. I don't want to have to change blades for ripping and crosscutting and was willing to sacrifice a bit of rip quality for better crosscutting. I'd say this is the reverse of that, at least in softer woods, where there is noticeable tearout.
I addressed this with some painter's tape and it helps a bit but not entirely. I don't always work with hard woods and even those can be prone to chipping so this blade is not the end-all for cross cuts. Still it is a very good blade overall and about half the cost of a WW or the Ridge blades.
After reading lots of good reviews I decided, finally, try that Freud Pro blade. OMG! This stuff is at a completely different class: I could give six stars to it if possible.
It was easy to install, but I had to adjust the riving knife of my table saw as this blade is thicker than the blade I had installed previously so it lost its alignment with the blade change. The cuts are smoother than anything else I had saw at my live, either for solid hard or softwoods, plywood, MDF or melamine laminated. I did not expected so smooth cuts. The humble 2.25 HP motor from my table saw was enough to drive that blade to cut 3 inch height hardwood with no apparent effort.
It is a myth that blade is quieter. It is so loud as my previous Makita blade generating almost 85 dB at the saw operator place.
I strongly recommend it. Great blade for both ripping and cross cuts for solid lumber plywood. Works great also for MDF and Melamine although I suggest a specific blade for these last materials (I have another Freud blade for them!).
This is an absolutely fantastic table saw blade for my Delta Contractors Table Saw! I prefer standard kerf blades over the "thin kerfs" that cause inaccuracy problems with my fence settings. Also, I feel the thin kerf blades have a tendency to flex a bit with harder woods like ash, and I feel the thin kerf blades simply don't hold up over time since they are made with less steel & carbide tips. They "seem like the cut better due to the thin kerf, but that's only as issue with underpowered saw motors. This blade has laser cuts that keep the blade cooler during long rips, and the ATB style teeth with larger gullets every 5th took work great for both cross cuts and ripping. This blade simply cuts accurate and fantastic!
