I suspect that the people who had trouble with using the BIOS are people who aren't used to using them to begin with. Does the BIOS need some work? The answer is yes, but if you know what you're doing, this is perfectly manageable. Smart Fan 5 could use some work, but I was able to configure my fans the way I wanted to. You can control the fan that is placed in the VRM so that it scales off your MOS sensor - very cool indeed, especially if you want to prolong the lifespan of your motherboard while overclocking. It originally turns on at 90C, but you can play a fun game: run Prime 95, and see if it turns on. Spoiler: It won't.
CPU power delivery is absolutely insane. 8 VCore phases rated each at 60 amps! This VRM barely goes above 45C in real world, non-AVX usage. Server grade quality here from Gigabyte! If you care about VRMs, this is an upgrade from the Asus Maximus X Hero. I am using it with an 8700K at 5 GHz. A bit of VDroop is present if you don't have your LLC on one of the higher settings. I recommend Turbo, but your mileage may vary.
As for RAM overclocking, I am only running at 3000 MHz, which is a breeze for this board.
The sound quality is great - the biggest difference from my MSI Z270 board is that this motherboard is capable of playing things EXTREMELY loud. Not a bad thing at all!
RGB Fusion is great so far, I was able to customize everything I wanted. I uninstalled the software after using it, because it would run annoying things at the startup. You can also customize your settings within the BIOS if you hate the software.
Overall, extremely pleased with this board! Would recommend if you plan on staying with your 8700K for a long time. If you just want a board that'll run 5 GHz and don't care much for looks, the Asrock Extreme4 is a great purchase that performs above its higher priced competitors, like the Strix boards. Happy overclocking!
Cons: VRM and Mosfet overheating. The VRM could reach 100C+++ under load during heavy task or synthetic benchmark. The heatsinks are very small and the thermal pads are not really good.
Overall: cheap, looks nice, no overheating issue during gaming, only overheat during heavy task.
I give it a 4/5 cuz this issue with the sound is super annoying considering I am opening and closing apps all the time.
The RGB led on it look awesome.
Overall I'm very satisfied with this board. For the price you can't ask better.

I'm currently running this board with an i7-8700k, Cooler Master Hyper 212, 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX, Crucial 500GB SSD, EVGA SuperNova 750W and even without any tweaking it really flies.
2.5/5 at best is my overall rating
