GRAND SOULARD DE LA CUISINE (LE), 2E ÉD

Excellent outil de référence. Comme plusieurs classiques dans cette catégorie de ma bibliothèque de livres de cuisine, les photos et les index ne sont pas toujours au rendez-vous. Toutefois ces déficiences ne feront pas que je vais me départir de certains de mes classiques. L'ajout d'un index et de contenu de la nouvelle édition fut toutefois bienvenu et ça m'aura permis de donner ma copie de la première édition en cadeau.

L'organisation et la variété de recette en fait un bon outil de référence pour faire des recettes classiques ou trouver de nouvelles recettes par catégorie (volaille, poisson, boeuf, etc). J'ai trouvé les recettes bien expliquées et détaillées. Le livre ne contient pas de photographies, donc ce n'est pas le genre de livre qu'on achète pour saliver, mais plutôt dont on se sert pour cuisiner.

Les recettes sont d'excellents choix mais quelques photos pour accompagner les plats proposés, auraient été appréciés. Comme une photo vaut milles mots, ceci aurait complémenté ce grand Soulard. Excellent achat chez Amazon.ca

This book manages to make itself irrelevant despite having many of the best recepies out there. Le Grand Soulard de la Cuisine has 1100 recepies and NO INDEX. Found some sunchokes at the market and wondering what to do with them? Start reading the tables of content in each chapter and pray that you find "sunchoke" in one of the titles. This is seriously absurd.

The recepies themselves are great. Delicious, not too difficult, they let the ingredients shine. But all that is not too useful without an index.
