Haynes says this book is a documented total rebuild of one of these cars, specifically, a 1988 Buick SkyHawk Custom equipped with the Chevy 2.0L engine. If you're looking for information and directions on rebuilding one of these cars, don't look at this book.
The coverage of 'special' things is limited or nil, especially the Chevrolet 2.0L 4Cyl turbocharged engine that was installed in the SkyHawk Sports. They briefly cover only the fuel rails, and don't even mention the turbocharger itself. But if you need a crash course in repairing the 2.0L 4Cyl, or working on the rest of the car, you won't find an easier to use book. :)

HASH(0xb3ba3168) out of 5 stars good referance book! April 10 2016

I've been using these manuals since I started driving twenty eight years ago & they've helped me save a lot of money on auto repairs. The instructions have been spot on & the books include information on just about anything you'd want to do to a vehicle including engine & transmission work. I'd like to see a PDF version on CD or available for download with purchase of the book but other than that I have no real complaints about them. Like all Haynes Manuals it is very good for people who know how to work on cars. My friend who is not an auto tech but works on cars on the side, used the manual to put a new sensor in my car. Of course, you have to know about cars to begin with but Haynes shows each different cars engine in great detail.

this book is helpful. But most of the information is for the four cylinder cavalier. Mine is the v-6. so basic information in this book is helpful. But to trouble shoot my car the information i need isn't there.
