It's a game changer - you can store the food you make in the fridge without having to transfer it to another container, just in the inner pot. The silicone is thick and strong; the product appears genuine with good quality finishes. It snaps on perfectly around the edge of my 8qt pot with a bit of pressure around the edge. Cleans well and doesn't seem to be holding onto any smells.
The seal is fantastic - it holds in every bit of moisture so that your food doesn't dry out in the fridge. It's not completely leak proof, but it will contain small spills as well if you're clumsy like I am.
I would strongly recommend this to anyone who uses the Instant Pot for meal prepping especially - if you make larger portions, being able to keep things in the stainless pot covered & in the fridge is a game changer.
