The author provides for us 7 Principles as guidance to turn over to our Lord in our lives. In the book there are many lessons from her life defining just how we might be today and guiding us to move on knowing and serving in the ministry God has for us.
Chapter 5 is titled 'Wash Your Face" - Mourn over your past one last time. The Bible reference is :To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven... A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance. (Ecclesiastes 3:1, 4 KJV) She teaches "For me, it was several minues facedown in a cold, porcelain sink. And years later it was oceans of tears in my hustband's arms.".... And for her....all of this, plus more, was just part of her healing process.
This is an excellent book directed toward guiding others toward their destiny with our Lord. Just remove your self-issues....read this important book to grow in the Spirit of God.
I've read a number of self-help books. Thus, I had low expectations for this one. I fully expected this book to have a good start and slowly dwindle to mind numbingly boring. That didn't happen.
Though there were a few spots I found a bit tedious - maybe because I've heard some of the lessons before - for the most part, the book was fresh and intelligently written. The author gave very helpful ideas of how to "get over yourself". Her points connected surprisingly well, and she brought her own life experiences to bear that were extremely helpful in validating her as an expert on the topic.
