AORUS All-around cooling solution
AORUS provides the all-around cooling solution for all key components of the graphics card. We take care not only GPU but also VRAM and MOSFET, to ensure a stable overclock operation and longer life. On the front side, the large copper base plate dissipates the most heat from the GPU and VRAM. On the back side, the copper back plate dissipates the heat from the GPU back side. All other key components are taken care of very well by the WINDFORCE cooling module. AORUS ensures the customer a better cooling solution in many ways.

TLDR: Great product - Runs as advertised - Software not functioning - Well tuned out of box
I would be lying if I told you I wasn't extremely nervous about purchasing this card. Lot's of people have had poor luck with the stability. I however received one without any problems or defects. The build quality is really top notch, there is an aluminum shroud which I prefer over plastic, I did take extra care handling it though to prevent bending the shroud. This is a heavy card so be aware of that, if you are considering a motherboard you might want to purchase one with reinforced PCI-E x3 slots. I didn't bother with the Aorus Software at first and instead downloaded and intalled the Nvidia Drivers directly off of Nvidia's website. LAter when I tried to download and install the Aorus software to change the lighting it didn't install stating that it is incompatible with my system (Windows10 64bit)
I have been testing this in a few games and here are a few ball park FPS ranges
i7-7700k @ 4.7ghz
Asus Prime Z270-A
Corsair LPX 3000 16GB White
Witcher 3 - MAX Everything including AA 1080p ~ 85 - 150 FPS (Still need to test this with DSR)
Crysis w/ Immersion Mod DSR @ 2140p ~ 50 - 70 FPS
I will finish editing this review later
But GTA5 in 4k at 60fps just looks so pretty.
Nice card, Cooling works great, overclocks very well if you don't mind the power increases. Fan profile setting software is very nice, I can keep this card running at 67C with very minimal noise
FYI: make sure your case cooling is setup decently. My last 980ti exhausted externally from the case. this 1080 is all internal, so I had to step up my air flow.
Sometimes it's difficult to justify purchasing such a large investment in gaming, but the value you'll get out of the increased performance will increase your experience greatly. If you are an avid gamer and this hobby is something you enjoy frequently, treat yourself to this upgrade. You will not be disappointed.
If you're thinking about waiting for the next revision (VEGA2 or GTX 2080), you can always resell this card and upgrade for a much smaller margin ($200 to $300). Enjoy the ultimate gaming experience now instead of always waiting for the next best thing.
