Product Description

This is a collection of the first three titles in The Girl in the Box Series, which are about a teenage girl who develops powers far beyond those of a normal human, and her battles against those who would use her against her will. (Approx. 185,000 words total.)

Books included:

1. Alone

2. Untouched

3. Soulless

Alone

Sienna Nealon was a 17 year-old girl who had been held prisoner in her own house by her mother for twelve years. Then one day her mother vanished, and Sienna woke up to find two strange men in her home. On the run, unsure of who to turn to and discovering she possesses mysterious powers, Sienna finds herself pursued by a shadowy agency known as the Directorate and hunted by a vicious, bloodthirsty psychopath named Wolfe, each of which is determined to capture her for their own purposes...

Untouched

Still haunted by her last encounter with Wolfe and searching for her mother, Sienna Nealon must put aside her personal struggles when a new threat emerges – Aleksandr Gavrikov, a metahuman so powerful, he could destroy entire cities – and he's focused on bringing the Directorate to its knees.

Soulless

After six months of intense training with the Directorate, Sienna Nealon finds herself on her first assignment - tracking a dangerous meta across the upper midwest. With Scott Byerly and Kat Forrest at her side, she'll face new enemies and receive help from unlikely allies as she stumbles across the truth behind the shadowy organization known only as Omega.

The books are great is why I ordered them by was never able to download these to my tablet to read them elsewhere. I had to read them on the computer. It would of been nice to be able to put them in my tablet or phone so as to read them any time. Going forward because I can only read them on the computer they come in on, I'll probably not order any other books in the future from Amazon.

I was a big fan of these three novels. The complexity of the writing was relatively low (acceptable for most reading skill levels, I believe) and I'm typically not a fan of 1st person narratives, but the story itself and the presentation of Sienna was both appealing and something that drew me in.

Some parts here and there seem rushed and at times the personality of Sienna or another character seemed forced/tiresome. After some thought, however, the personality flaws simply made the story more easily related to which is a benefit.

Errors and complexity aside, the story is easy to follow along with and it's structured nicely. There is some lovely foreshadowing and plot setups in the beginning stages of the series that get referenced later on which is a nice touch. Too many books and series fail to have consistency in things that happened and it happens quite a bit that characters seemingly forget traumas or events. This isn't the case with The Girl In The Box, and I like it a lot.

In conclusion, it was a bit difficult to get into at first but it grew on me and I came to love the story. I'll definitely keep a look out for this author in the future.

Took me a long time to get into the series, very pleased I didn't pay for it. I won't be buying the rest of the series. If your into this kind of scifi it isn't a bad series just not my cup of tea so to speak

This series is extremley entertaining! I loved it since the begining. It's a real page turner, since something unexpected always happens to Sienna, and the fact that I needed to know more about her past. Why did her own Mother treat her the way she did???? Even though I'm not a teenager, I love YA Novels, especially of the paranormal, magic, ,vampires, scify....types. My daughter and I often read the same books (she's 20 & I'm 49). I'm presently reading Book 5 OMEGA, and have bought the rest of the series, I will also buy what follows as well (The girl out of the box). Thank you Mr. Crane for such a great series that I find original & very intriging!!! Keep them coming!!

I rated these books individually but I received them free as a Series so I am doing a combined rating. I liked Book 1 and Book 3 the best, but felt that Book 2 was very unmemorable. I found the writing captivating in many ways, but this type of science fiction story is certainly not my preferred reading material, but I am happy that I read them. Overall, I feel that the books on their own leave one unsatisfied, and even after reading 3, the author left us hanging. I would have liked to know more about the "Omega project", "Andromeda" and what the whole purpose of this was. I would also have liked to learn about the developing relationship between Sienna Nealon and her mother, Sierra and more about what was going to happen between Sienna and Zack. Without giving spoilers, I found these aspects of the books unsatisfying. However, having said all that, sci-fi readers will love these books.

Fast paced and quite witty. The Girl in the Box series was an entertaining read that left me wanting more. A kind of super hero meets X-Men romp into the world of Meta-humans. I would encourage fans of sci fi/ fantasy/young adult fiction to give it a try.

I Love love love love love this series. I am not a science fiction or fantasy reader, and i dont even know what category you would put this series in. What I would say is have an open mind, buy the first book or this set and you will be hooked once you read the first paragraph. I Love Sienna the main character. Love her sassiness, her wit, her bravery, her drive which is all her own and of her making. Don't even say, well its a young adult novel, I am almost 40 and was obsessed throughout the whole series! The only reason its getting 4 stars is because Robert J. Crane didn't write a book in this series for every week of the year, which i would have loved and read every one!
