White streaks on phone display after 3 months
I bought 3 for the office here, and it's now it's about 3 months using it, for one of them the screen has developed white streaks over it.Can the seller contact me, it's been only a few months of owning these, I am afraid the others may develop the same thing.

Great phone for the money. Replaced a very expensive, finicky SNOM 870, lost nothing and gained Bluetooth capability (didn't even notice that it had it, love it now). Easy to setup and program, supports my remote headset no problem. Crystal clear both talk and listen.

Spent 2 hours on the phone with our PBX provider trying to auto provision and / or manually provision this phone to work. Repeatedly managed to get the phone provisioned and up and running and repeatedly had it then kick itself off the system. Tried updated firmware, factory installed firmware and the reportedly "most stable" 1.0,97 version of firmware and all failed. The support line had at one point 2x Grandstream GXP2140 phones they were simultaneously provisioning on their end to walk me through each step to ensure we were doing the same thing and theirs would connect to the user accounts fine whereas this one failed, so it's clearly a hardware issue that makes me question the quality of the product, hence the 1* rating.

Worth the cost! Would recommend it to anyone that wants to interact with callers over the internet. However; I am not comfortable with the close configuration/operation similarities with Skype from a bottom line point of view. l end up continuing to use my Skype account. Perhaps because I have had it for so long where this IP Phone is relatively new.

The price may not be the best compared to other stores online, however, Amazon delivers it fast and for free if you're a Prime member. This phone is great and does what it says it does. Good quality VoIP calls, but your mileage may vary depending on your provider and internet speed.

The phone is OK at the moment. I'm hoping Grandstream will release a firmware update that will fix a couple of issues.

Issue #1: The LED lights do not show when the system is down. If our PBX goes down, the Cisco phones would go amber. This one does nothing.

Issue #2: We use a comma after digits 4 and 8 for an outside line. The comma gives us a second dial-tone. It works fine unless you do not pick up the receiver or press the speakerphone button. If you key in the number 49971221 where 4 is the outside line key, and then press speakerphone the phone says, "These digits are not found in the dial plan". Yet if I pick up the receiver and get a dial tone, press 4 get a second dialtone, and then 9971221, the call goes through. Once again, this works fine with the Cisco phones but not with this GXP2140.

Both of these issues can be fixed through firmware adjustments. I'm hoping that happens. If the bugs are fixed I will provide a future update and change my star rating.

******** DECEMBER 28, 2015 UPDATE ********
There have been a few firmware updates. I've actually sent a complaint in to Grandstream about the second dial tone not working and they said they fixed it. I installed the version of firmware and it only works intermittently.

Outstanding Issues:
BLF lights do not show when the system is down.
Second Dial Tone when dialling a code for an outside line does not work most of the time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Manual provisioning catch 22

Excellent device. Well engineered. Beautifully made. Delivered in record time (thanks Amazon). So why am I returning it tomorrow? Because what the VOIP providers don't tell you -- in my case RingCentral -- is that when you make a decision to buy a better featured, less expensive phone than they are offering, it becomes a second class citizen on their network. YOU have to manually Provision the device manually, and In Manual Provisioning, the Authorization information and SIP settings for the phone are entered manually in the phone's Menu or Web Interface, ONLY to register with the RingCentral servers. Manual Provisioning, for example, will not maintain communication for updates to the phone, only the registration with the service.
It will not allow the phone updates from RingCentral's servers. It will not pull the firmware required for RingCentral's features. Users with manually provisioned phones will not be able to use Presence. And phones manually provisioned will not have softkeys for Paging and Intercom, which is a function I need for our remote gate opener, watched over by our compatible Grandstream CCTV camera. This is a crying shame as the phone is really great and just what I needed. Now I have to buy a phone that I don't want, pay more money than I need to, and wait for it to be delivered. So beware, don't do what I did, and check out the models your VOIP provided will auto-provision before buying. Hopefully for you, in your case it will include a Grandview GXP2140.

LATER: When I was packing up the box to send back to Amazon, I found a card from Yay.com -- who support Grandstream fully -- and started I asked myself "why am I doing this?" Why was I going to return a super phone with all the functions and features I needed, at a super price, in order to accept a poor substitute and pay almost double? So I decided I wouldn't. I am going to take my new Grandstream GXP 2140 to Yay for a free trial, and hopefully live happily ever after. :-)
