The colour charts are difficult to use, but for the most part there's some great designs that can be mixed and matched. The book's odd shape can make for some frustrating moments in trying to read the pattern.

I love the borders a lot. I'm an x-stitcher so having the flexibility to use what I want and leave the rest is great. The sheer volume of designs available guarantee there will be a lot of crap. But what isn't crap is *amazing*. Worth the money and this is going into the archives of books that are irreplaceable.

Just received this book and I'm very pleased with it. There is a good variety of designs that look quick to stitch, yet have enough detail to make them interesting. Also an assortment of sizes, from very small to around 5 inches square. I often stitch cross stitch cards, and can see that I'll be able to use lots of these ideas.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not the best Oct. 16 2009
By Cheryl J - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Spiral-bound Verified Purchase
I wish that I would have paid closer attention to the other reviews. I would have NEVER purchase this book. I have looked through it at least 10 times and I still cannot find a single pattern that I want to try. I think it is a book that is good for kids, young kids. I recieved it quickly and the patterns are real easy but I have to admit that I was highly dissapointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars 1000 EXCELLENT AND EASY TO FOLLOW DESIGNS June 10 2005
By Alan Russell - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Spiral-bound
This spiral bound book with removable pages is a dream. The designs can be adapted to any need. I am not sure why the previous reader could not follow the designs. They are amazingly simple and all contain few color changes. You will be thrilled for years to come with this outstanding book.

1.0 out of 5 stars not the grestest cross stitch designs March 30 2005
By Jen - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Spiral-bound
This book has many designs but they are not the greatest. I haven't found one that I like or can use. This book doesn't include any pictures of the finish product. The designs are choppy and hard to follow.

3.0 out of 5 stars Busy girls! Jan. 29 2014
By sharon - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
Very excited to get this book and start making some of the patterns. Teaching my 3 year old grand daughter how to embroider. She LOVES to do it. Her Mommy never would sit still long enough to do anything sewing related.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice Aug. 19 2009
By Kelly L. Delp - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Spiral-bound
The book itself isn't quite what I was hoping for; however, I was impressed with how quickly I received the book itself. There are a few nice designs within the book, but also a few corny ones, too. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase.
