Interesting in the way it explains how the Great Rift is made from north to south. It's a new way to understand how those african animals we are familiar with really live in there in interaction with this special part of Africa. It's not just another film on lions and zebras. Buy it and you won't regret it.

I am not sure exactly what I was expecting but this DVD exceeded it. In fact the three chapters (each about 50 minutes long) went by in a flash and I wish there was more. Watching the "making of the DVD", I think that it would have been useful to use some of the shots that were shown in that portion to have been included in the main body of the DVD. I realize that this would have been originally produced for a TV audience and time limits are needed but for the DVD this is not the case. The visuals are excellent and the music and views are impressive. It was well worth the price.

I am a sucker for these 'nature type' shows, and Blueray is a recent addition here, so the combination of this dvd and blueray make this an unforgettable experience. Wonderful cinematography, educational of course make this thoroughly enjoyable.

Although this three part series may be stunning to some, it is quite disappointing to those who are familiar with BBC's wildlife specials. Simply not their best, and in my opinion, the weakest of them all.
