Mcgraw,Tim ~ Greatest Hits
With a sad tenor that sounded like Mr. Haney from Green Acres, Tim McGraw, a freshman in country's crowded class of '92, seemed the least likely to graduate to superstardom. But eight years and 20 million albums and singles later, here he is with a greatest hits package so stuffed with songs--15 in all--that it doesn't have room for any new tunes, or even the best of all, "Everywhere." McGraw's appeal is two-fold: Aside from his unlistenable duets with wife Faith Hill and the abysmal "Indian Outlaw" that jump-started his career, he's had excellent taste in songs. And he's the epitome of the average guy in search of extraordinary love--the loser who becomes a winner. You see it all here, in the hate-it-but-love-it "Don't Take the Girl," the adrenaline rush of "Something Like That," and the infectious "I Like It, I Love It." If this album doesn't give hope to every karaoke singer in America, nothing will. --Alanna Nash

Tim McGraw will gladden your spirit while listening to upbeat love songs such as "Something Like That," and "For a Little While," but he will make you cry during the emotional and touching "Don't Take the Girl." Most songs on Tim McGraw's Greatest Hits are story-based. "Something Like That" tells the story of a first love. A boy was at a county fair when he met a girl who later on in his life gave him his first kiss. A couple of years later they reunited on a plane as adults. A less cheerful song is "Don't Take the Girl." This is a song about a boy and a girl who grew up and fell in love. They got married and had a baby. Sadly, she died while giving birth. These songs along with the other songs on Tim McGraw's Greatest Hits are phenomenal. However, the most intriguing is "Where the Green Grass Grows." McGraw expresses what he thinks is beautiful about life through this song. The melody is uplifting, catchy, and unforgettable.Read more ›
The music or singing was great. When I was listening to the CD it sounded pro and I can’t forget the background music it was good not great but good because I heard to much of the background music.. And the songs were not the same at all. This leads me to my next point to make. It had great messages like be your-self or don’t do this or don’t do that it was the best themes I ever heard. And of course this leads me to my 3rd point.
None of the songs were offensive. It made me feel good about my self. This doesn’t lead me to my next point, but here it is any way.
It cost less than most CD’s, but then again I got it in Ohio. It cost only $10.00 there, it was really, really cheap there.
Well I’m going to give you my recommendation now. My recommendation is if you like country CD’s or love and or “ fast talken’ songs its your kind of CD.
HEY!!! Don’t forget to read me down here!! Well if you liked what you heard than you better go get “Tim McGraw Greatest Hits Now!!!!!!!!!!
The “Tim McGraw Greatest Hits Is The Best CD Ever!!!!!!!
If you like this album, then I'd buy more of his albums--maybe starting with "Place in the Sun" or "Everywhere"--both contain several of the songs on his greatest hits album including:
Everywhere: "Just to see you smile", "Where the green grass grows", "It's your love", "For a little while";
Place in the Sun: "My Next Thirty Years", "Please Remember Me", "My Best Friend", and my all-time favorite Tim song "Something Like that".
If I could give this album more than 5 stars, I would. One of contemporary country's FINEST Greatest hits collections.

A waste of time. Better to buy the original albums and delve into the album tracks which were often much better than the singles.Published 2 months ago by sarah
