Product Description

“The Green Ladder by Steve Shaw provides a fresh look into how the body of Christ can begin to walk in their God-given identity. When we learn to embrace all that Jesus provided for us, we learn to co-labor with God. Cultivating this Kingdom mindset helps to bring an ease and grace for us to step into a Kingdom lifestyle that changes the world around us.” - Bill Johnson, Author When Heaven Invades Earth.

The Green Ladder is a must read for any pastor or believer who is experiencing a Spirit birthed appetite for a simpler and more authentic Christianity. While the gospels are overflowing with accounts of miracles, healings, and profound encounters with God, Steve Shaw’s story provides three simple steps that bring these realities of the Kingdom within reach for every believer.

In the Green Ladder you will learn…
• The difference between “the gospel of salvation” and “the gospel of the Kingdom.”
• The importance of having “a saint-based identity” instead of “a shame-based identity.”
• The excitement of co-laboring with a sovereign God to bring heaven to earth.

Steve Shaw has served as a pastor in Grants Pass, Oregon for thirty-four years. He and his wife, Midge, have lived out their passion for the presence of God, authentic community, and the advancement of His Kingdom, bringing hope and a practical demonstration of God’s power to leaders, congregations, and believers at home and abroad.

About the Author

Steve Shaw lives in a small town in Oregon where he is still pastoring his first church after 34 years. He has an incredible passion for the presence of God, authentic Christian community, and seeing the Kingdom of God advance in the earth through the empowered church as it did in the Book of Acts. He also has a heart for the unsung heroes of the small churches in small towns and wants to assist them to see their churches move from survival to significance. Steve and his wife Midge have been married for 40 years and have raised two incredible sons.

HASH(0x98a85a38) out of 5 stars Excellent! Must Read! Best Book I've Read in a Long Time!!! June 24 2011

Steve Shaw's book is such an incredible exploration of our current revival movement.

Have you ever experienced a powerful touch from God at a conference only to return home to struggle with how to articulate that encounter to your friends and family?

After spending 4 years at Bethel Church in Redding, CA, I moved on to finish college where I noticed that my theology and core values had changed deeply. I often struggled to explain why my convictions were different than those I attended church with. Beyond believing in signs, wonders, and miracles, my sense of who God is and how He interacts with us, who I am to Him and to the world, and what my role as a believer is has drastically changed. Steve gave me language to articulate three distinct theological shifts that accompany the current Charismatic revival movement that has swept the world.

This book is a must read for anyone struggling to share what they've experienced in revival culture, or for those who have experienced it but have never had any biblical teaching to support it. It would also work well as a study book or as part of a school curriculum. Steve's heart is evident throughout, as he seeks to serve and father a generation of people hungry for the things and ways of God.

I just finished reading "The Green Ladder." I have the joy of leading a church in the same region of Oregon as Steve Shaw. Part of my joy is being near such a wise and faithful leader who is able to express Kingdom concepts so clearly. His passion touches all the churches in our area. The Green Ladder unfolds a paradigm shift that God is asking many of us to step into so that we can truly reflect a church of power in our culture. Read this excellent work and let God tinker with your ideas as He did with mine.

HASH(0x98a85ec4) out of 5 stars The Green Ladder by Steve Shaw Oct. 18 2011
By Pastor Steven Perez - Published on
Format: Paperback
The Green Ladder affirmed for me many thoughts I have regarding the Kingdom of God. It was an inspirational experience to see similar thoughts being expressed by Pastor Steve Shaw. The Green Ladder moves us beyond the gospel of salvation into the full Gospel of Jesus Christ. This book will cause you to think, and then rethink how you view the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is a great book for young pastors. For young pastors this book alongside of the Bible will give each opportunity to grow into the dynamic power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God. I encourage pastors to read this book and share with church leaders and servants. Sharing the Green Ladder with key church leaders will make a differance as application of the principles are applied to the vision of each church!

I have been walking with the Lord nearly 4 decades, and yet, I find the more I learn, the less I fully grasp the depth and vastness of God's glorious riches and great Love towards us. I recently read "The Green Ladder" and am excited about the Spiritual treasures that are revealed throughout. This book is compelling to read, easy to understand, and has many profound, insightful "ah ha" moments. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a greater understanding of the will of God......on a global level as well as personally.
