Product Description

Zach Galligan, the star of the first Gremlins, is back, along with Phoebe Cates, his girlfriend from the first film. They're both working in an ultramodern skyscraper owned by a Donald Trump clone (a hilarious John Glover). Galligan's furry little buddy is captured by a mad scientist, who not only helps it multiply, but invests the nasty, scaly offspring with intelligence and the ability to talk. (Watch for the one that has Tony Randall's voice.) What follows is imaginative mayhem that spoofs old movies, modern television, and the conveniences of postmodern technology. In some ways, the sequel is even more inventive and laughter-inducing than the original. --Marshall Fine --This text refers to the VHS Tape edition.

This is the amazing squel to the First Gremlins. It begins shortly after the Chiness man recruit Gizmo. A few years have gone buy the old Chinese man that had taken care of Gizmo before an after he meet Billy . This movie has some fun scenes. The weeding in the mens rest room at the end is hillarious. So is the sense with Gizmo working out one when he is lift a bar bell and falls through the floor. Anothew one when he punches a punch bag and get hit back in the face.
The only bad thing about the second gremlins is you see Gizmo being tortured in it a lot more than you did in the first one. It has zany funny monments. The part when Gizmo dress up like Rambo and makes a boy an arrow out of the close hanger. The part when Bill is talking and suddenly the screen goes funny the gremlin appear on the screen a do the shadow puppets is hysterically.
However unlike in the first one not all the gremlins is killed the one Female on survives. Did i mention some of gremlins are genetically alltered by drink chemicals. One of the Gremlins turns in eletricity and shocks and eletricuts ever living creature he touches.
My favorite gremlin is the one that drinks some short of chemical that makes him smarter allows him to talk in english. There is some gore and lot s of violence in it. The scariest is the spidger gremlin who ends up being huge. He dies he burns to death at the end.
He was really mean to Gizmo and is shown tocture gismo like Half a dozen times during the movie. The other Gremlins do not like gizmo because he is a misfit. Unlike them he is kind and good and does not like hurt and playing pranks on other creatures.
The nastiest parts in the movie is when one Gremlin acts Dangle Clamp and he forces it down a paper shreder were it is slice to pieces. She is gus us out of the shreder the lock like liquidfied spinch. If you like this I recomend seeing Gremlins as weell as the Critters series which was enspired by the Gremlins series.

After the mild success of GREMLINS, there was plenty of room for a sequel. Not that anyone expected it (especially the parents). But here we have it, GREMLINS 2: THE NEW BATCH, another horror/comedy which is this time entirely comedy. In fact, GREMLINS 2 is overall one gigantic spoof of itself. Zach Galligan and Phoebe Cates return as lovers Billy Peltzer and Kate Beringer - this time they're trying to thrive in The Big Apple. One day, Peltzer discovers Gizmo (the voice of Howie Manel) in a media mogul's science lab. Of course, Billy takes Gizmo to work with him - and guess what? - the gremlins are back, more hilarious than ever, and led by a super-smart gremlin with the voice of Tony Randall. The best part of the film is John Glover's hilarious performance as Billy's boss; there's also nice directing by Joe Dante and a fair score by Jerry Goldsmith. The film, overall, is pretty weak, however; the script is all-out madness, with plenty of star cameos. The effects are arguable; awesome gremlin effects, [bad] everything else effects. A hilarious, no-holds barred spoof of itself...lovely, but no where near as good as GREMLINS.

I am not going to waste a large amount of time here. This movie was bad on so many levels that I can only say if you were thinking of renting it, or worse, buying it, your money will also work well as kindling at the next family cookout.
"Gremlins 2" is a completely non-linear sequel to the successful "Gremlins." Although much of the cast is the same, their characters aren't, and they are completely non-dimensional, present only for consistency from the first film. The story is set in New York, inside one of the massive skyscrapers there. Gizmo returns in this film, orphaned by the death of his owner and friend, the elderly chinese man who owned a junk shop in Chinatown, to Billy, his sometime friend from the first film. As with before, he gets wet, births a new batch of Mogwais, and it isn't long before they spawn into Gremlins, releasing havoc on New York.
The movie is filled with a bunch of visual "sthick", which attempts to be funny, but comes across as ridiculous, stupid and very contrived. There are no characters worth caring about or beliving in, and by the end of the movie, when the Gremlins are about to escape, you hope they will, if to devour the production staff that made this piece of garbage.

GREMLINS 2 is an overall underrated sequal that I feel is actually superior to the first. The two are very different films. The first one is a merging of horror, comedy, family film, and looney tune. Meanwhile, the sequal is just an all-out comedy, and in that perspective it succeeds brilliantly. There are more and more jokes to discover every single time you watch the film, and it therefore never loses its comic touch. I also much prefer Rick Baker's gremlin design than that of Chris Walas for the original. Anyone with a taste for gag-filled, non-stop hillarity will love this film. In the end, it even comes off as a spoof of itself! Brilliant!
GREMLINS 2 isn't labeled "Special Edition" like the original was, but it is, in fact, a much better DVD in terms of both film presentation/quality and extras. The main thing that sticks out for me is the collection of deleted scenes and outtakes. They're almost as hillarious as the film itself!
If you like GREMLINS, you'll most likely love GREMLINS 2: THE NEW BATCH. And if you didn't the first one, you'll probably get a kick outta the sequal anyway!
