I've lost count what week I'm on but must be at least 30 by now. I keep working through it. There is a lot of material in this book, and it is really good. I do find that some of the exercises require a guitar that lets you play above 12th fret easily..... that is my only dislike and it more a limitation of my guitar than the book. Many of the exercises have a blue's touch, or use blue's licks, but there are lots of non-blues stuff too.

The book is good for practice if you put in the time. However, I recently purchased a laptop with no CD drive, as we don't need CDs anymore. There is no download available for the CD, which I find odd, considering all the progress we've made on the technology front. Without being able to play back the licks and hear them as I'm supposed to play them, the book is useless to me.

This is an excellent book I've owned for a couple of years. I do not use this book nearly as often as I should. Every day is a new lesson to get your fingers dancing across the fretboard. Everything is covered from alternate picking to arpeggios. This is a fantastic book for anybody who wants to sync their left hand to their right.

This is the first book I grab for practicing, Its a great warm up tool and well organized to improve left and right hand technique. They could improve the CD by organizing the lick playbacks individually rather than by week. THis makes it a little ackward when you want to constantly repeat one lick.

I just finished working through this book. It took me one full year to work through all 365 exercises as prescribed. Overall, I think it improved my strength, accuracy, and speed. After playing for 40 years, I found myself to be getting lazy in some areas and this book helped me discover where I was weak and forced me to re-discipline myself. It was also good for learning techniques that I normally don't play in my repertoire such as tapping.

Great book for practicing and getting your fingers to be more flexible. Progressively gets more difficult but awesome tool to improve your chops and finger dexterity.

I'm almost finished going through the book. I am on week 45 right now... But I can play day 365 very easily....

I have been playing guitar for the last 22yrs(I haven't actually 'practiced' all those years IMS), so most of the exercises are easy.. I started going through this book a few months ago; I do a few sessions per day starting at the fastest tempo that I can handle and work my way up to the highest tempo.

Most of the exercises are fairly easy but some get more challenging as you go through it... I was always a master at alternate picking, string skipping, legatos and arpeggios(those are very easy to me).. As you get further; the jazz exercises get to be a challenge; as I've never really played jazz chords all that much before this.. Some of the country ones are a challenge as well.. And if you're new to sweep picking, as I was, then this is also a good start to practice your 'rolling finger' technique...

With all that said it is not a 'super advanced' book. But, it's pretty good for someone that wants to hone in on their guitar playing development; or may have reached a plateau in their playing and can challenge themselves with something that they may not be used to playing.... For me it was the Jazz ones and country bending techniques....

As far as it being 'begining to advanced'.... Well... It's definitely not a book for someone who only knows a few chords.....
If your mother just taught you the basic major and minor chords; you might want to learn more first... If you took lessons for a year or so you can start with this I guess.. But, you might get too challenged as a beginner and get very discouraged...

IMO there are exercises in week 52 that are easier than in the previous weeks...

Let each guitarist make his/her discernment...

this book is for electric guitars! No mention of this on the book cover or in the reviews I read on this site before ordering. After receiving this book I checked the reviews on Amazon.com where a couple of reviewers warn of this.
