Their recommendation for a 5V/1A usb power brick is false - it will not deliver enough power for video passthrough - you will need a beefier PSU - something like 15V at least to have consistent image performance. With a 5V brick, I was only able to get SD image out of the XBOX, but with the 15V PSU, I have had no issues with video.
Good device, does was it says, but invest in a good PSU.
HDMI from video card to Ezcoo, then from Ezcoo out to monitor = no picture (regardless of Position 1 and 2 pin configurations). Work around - used Display Port connection to monitor instead. Ran HDMI out of video to HDMI in on Ezcoo. Then Optical cord from Ezcoo out to Optical In on Surround receiver. Open Windows Sound Control Panel, enabled the Nvidia sound output via HDMI, opened config panel and click on each of the 5 speakers in the test. Left works. Right plays out through back LEFT, centre, back left, back right and Subwoofer do not work at all. And what does play through the Left is almost 2 seconds DELAYED from the time you click the speaker icon and see the waves of the icon indicating it is playing the sound. When the Surround System is connected using RCA/Analog cords to the MSI board, there is no delay at all. This little box was supposed to provide digital audio split from the HDMI and cannot do it. It cannot even provide 1080 video through the HDMI out. Yes, I am certain I have HDMI 2 cables too, and tried multiple ones from other equipment I have in the house. So the claims of this seller - absolutely do not match up. Even with what very little audio worked (incorrectly), that kind of out of sync delay is completely unacceptable. Returning for full refund!
To keep it short, this does exactly that! Haven't had a single issue yet and the quality is perfect for me.

They also have a Sonance Garden Series outdoor speaker system throughout the patio area near the TV, with a Sonos Port as the input to the companion 2-channel Sonance amplifier. They wanted the system to have the option to send the AppleTV's sound to the yard speakers on occasions where they entertain and have sports on the TV and the TV's soundbar wouldn't provide enough output to fill the area.
We initially used Apple AirPlay to sed the sound to the Sonos system. This worked, but it was a bit cumbersome to engage. Also, when it was used, it disabled the TV's volume control, removing the ability to adjust the TV's soundbar level. The client came back to us and asked if there was a simpler way to achieve the same outcome. That's where this component came in. Installed between the Apple TV and the HDBaseT HDMI transmitter in the house, we sent the HDMI audio and video to the Sunbrite TV, and the derived analog audio into the Sonos Port's AUX input. The device works perfectly and the customer sees the issue resolved.
My only gripe about the extractor is the analog audio signal level is low. We compensated for this in the Sonos system that has 10 input gain adjustments. However, even with the Sonos at the highest sensitivity (setting "10"), the level was still low enough that we needed to set the zone volume to 75 just to get the level to a reasonable level. This gripe is not a show-stopper, though. All's well and the sound is really fine. I just wish the level was about 6dB hotter.
Même si le branchement reste filaire ( fibre optique)
Le cinéma en plein air cet été .. c est parti !
Problem Scenario #1 - Speaker is switched to active monitor / the other speaker from the other system is no longer audible or audio is reverted to a port that is not hooked up (regardless if its enabled or disabled state, it will revert to lead more confusion - i tried)
Problem Scenario #2 - Application windows and desktop icons re-arranged due to monitor switching behavior
Both of these problems as above described are common, although its by design and super annoying - this I have a strong believe its the solution!
I am expecting this will be the solution, EDID to preserve application windows in its last position, and extract the HDMI audio feed (work laptop) into a dedicated mini speaker so MicrosftTeams can always call-in and i am aware of the ring tone regardless which screen / system I am on.
Pro:
------
* Audio extraction SPDIF/Analog - I can connect to an speaker that is always ON for inbound calls from Microsoft Teams
* This is also a HDMI repeater, which It just dawned on me, that may help boost signal quality between source-to-destination even cable length is only 3ft+. it just might eliminate that random signal drop out as some might experience.
* Flexible EDID modes (resolved problem #2) to select as built-in, this actually works if you trying to prevent Windows OS or MAC OS from application windows moving around the screen while using HDMI switcher box.
Cons:
------
I understand this is a a low power device, USB-C type port should be standard to reduce green e-waste, no excuse.
Tested / Experience:
------
Bare in mind I am not a fan of HDMI implementation, knowing the bugs and annoyances of HDMI cable length, "color-space" implementation, the whole underlying problems HDMI consumer faces, so take this as a grain of salt here are my feed backs.
------
* Stable, no signal loss leading to occasional blanking
(this HDMI repeater just might fix your existing problem even if you have just purchased a new HDMI hardware setup)
* Sharp & clarity to the pixel (4k resolution)
* No color space issue to the naked eye before and after using this device
(I don't fancy HDR , from developer perspective, color RGB reference is more of importance for me)
* No screen lag to the naked eye for geeks & gamers.
* for HDMI tech savvy professionals see documentation for EDID modes, I am using EDID-COPY mode
