The game overall is amazing. The few flaws I found are the textures popping in a second late for cutscenes and the length of the game. Someone's earlier review says the campaign will be good for 50+ hours and that's if you play through it once, that's a lie. Halo vets who have beaten legendary should have no prob on normal. I beat it in less than 10 hours. I have to say online has been amazing though. I have played about 15 hours of that and it's only Thursday, November 11th as I write this (technically 1:45 of the 12th but meh). I suggest that people buy this game and play on Xbox Live until Halo 3 comes out, cause I know they are working on it.

This is truly an epic game regardless of what people say, if you go to any game site or watch any video game show you see that they all agree this game is simply remarkable.
From single player to an untouchable and unbeatable ,in my eyes multiplayer that will have you addicted like a crac addict with an 8ball. From the first five minuites your playing until the 3 days later you put the controler down you will be hooked.
The music score in this game has got to be in the runnings for game soundtrack of the year, absolutly stunning. And actualy the whole game feels more like your playing through a movie than a game. The cut scenes/movies are very good, though some are 5 mins +,thats not a bad thing, you dont want to skip through them because there such an important part to the story you'll want to hear every word. There that riviting.
Now I wasnt a die hard Halo 1 fan though it was and still is an excellent FPS that even till today id hard to beat on any home console and many PC shooters. But HALO 2 is definetly the best and most fun I've had with a video game this year.
Well , thats enough I guess so its back to woopin covenant but baby.Damn this game rocks
Now this is all my opinion and I'm sure many will feel different, but to bash people for there ideas and opinions is very childish.Everyone is intitled to there own opinions wether you agree or not but if you do disagree with what I write and want to make your own points, please have some actual reasons , facts and intelligence to back it up and dont just type what and unmentioned person wrote.
Man that was pretty weak mr.SIMON that you have to resort to name calling like a 5 year old ,your just mad because you know EVERY word I wrote in my previous review was 100% true, lol either that or he's played Halo 2 and he sucks a$$.HA HA.just jokin.Grow up man and next time have some actual facts or intelligence to back your statments up instead of just saying that 'I suck ' lol.

Man in the past three to four days I have read possibly every Halo 2 review-preview I could ffind and have looked at hundreds of screen shots , and watched numerous live feed videos.
After all I've seen I can easily say that this is the most important game of 2003.2004 and possbley 2005 for the home consoles and I'm just glad I'm an xbox fan and own one of these remarkable machines.
Now I totaly agree with every word of the previous reviews on this site before me, well spoken guys.
Now I was on a few site ( pro playstaion) and they claim there " killzone" game is a Halo killer! lol, I highly doubt that , hell I dont even think it will come close to Halo 1.Sure Killzone looks pretty good....pretty good for a PSpoo game that is.
And all the people that dont have an xbox or halo 1 and are saying halo 2 sucks and is the same as Halo 1 are obviously just envious that there weak systems cant handle the raw power needed to play heavy hitting games like Halo 2, Doom 3, Jade Empire, Splinter cell 3 chaos theory, the new Unnreal tournament etc., that xbox was built to handle.
I personaly sold my ps2 the first year xbox came out because I couldnt stand ps2's crappy games and to many problems it has like disc read error and freezing, extreamily long load times, MEMORY CARDS!!!,etc.Sure its got some alright exclusives, that is if your a final fantasy junkie like I'm NOT I dont mind rachet and clank to much though.than you'll want a ps2
If you like washed up plummers and kiddish looking games, and enjoy mass amounts of text reading were other systems can handle voice over and NO online play except ONE game! than Lamecube is for you.

In case you don't know:
Halo 2 is one of only a few non-sports games that 4 people can play on the same TV (at the same time). That means your buddies can come over, play some halo, and talk some trash. It's like a game of every man for himself or 2 on 2 paintball in a field or building but without all the sweating and bruises.
On top of that you get the campaign where you take your one guy (called the Master Chief) and basically save the universe. That should be worth 50+ hours of gaming excitement and skill testing. And that's assuming that you only beat it once, when most people I know have beat Halo on every difficulty level (there's 4) and then beaten the hardest difficulty (called Legendary) again and again (you have to do everything just right...it's a tense, anxious, edge of your seat kind of thing).
Add to that the spectre of online play via Xbox live. It's going to be amazing. Nothing is as intuitive and natural feeling as Halo. It is so emersive I've played for 10 hours straight, on more than one occasion. People talk about how everything slows down in combat, how you're hyper aware of your surroundings and you can go without food, sleep, and water, and that is what is Halo is like, and what Halo 2 will be like. I have seen the videos; I have watched a match; there's a reason the live audience for that match was clapping and cheering. That reason is this: Halo2 exceeds even the highest expectations of Halo addicts.
If you have some cash I recommend buying MSFT stock.
Extra things to know:
You can watch Halo2 videos at gamespot. The time it takes to sign-up is worth it.
It's been tested by over 6,000 (six thousand!) microsoft employees. Most console developers don't BETA test at all, let alone use thousands of people.
