I bought this as a Christmas present (six months ago) and it has been used a lot since then. My wife uses it at least once a day to make smoothies for herself or our son, so it has been used enough to comment on it. It is well built and there is no sign of it wearing out. The handle is comfortable to hold and it has enough power to blend anything. The head is easy to clean and makes storage simple.

I use this hand blender in my kitchen, and it does a pretty good job. It's a little gutless, and the motor heats up if I try to do anything like puree frozen fruit for frozen yoghurt, but if you treat it gently it works well enough. Does most small/easy kitchen jobs well. If you don't want to drop a hundred bucks on the higher end version (ex: Kitchenaid) of a similar combo, and you don't need a heavy duty powered motor, then this is a pretty good hand blender to have.

It looks nice, unfortunately, it does NOT last long. The cover of chopping bowl bent after first use and I won't be able to close it now. That makes the chopping bowl unusable and it is a GARBAGE now. The blending wand and whisk are still working. I don't know how long it can last. So, think twice if you want to buy this product.

I bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday around the time we began dieting and exercising, it's so handy! Even I'm using it. I'll be ordering one for myself when I move out of province for school. Great product (and the container lid is NOT hard to get on if you just take a quick look at how the lock function works, honestly). Not too loud at all like some people say, just sounds like a hand blender. Highly recommend!

You really get what you pay for. Broke after using for a few times. The chopping bowl is terrible to close and open, and for some reason the gear mechanism got broken and the blade doesn't move anymore. Happened while mixing peanut butter and eggs, which both are not something can possible break anything.
Pay extra for something better, I bought this one trying to save and now I'll end up buying another more expensive one after a couple of weeks.

This thing sounds like a small jackhammer. Also, if you are buying to avoid putting plastic attachments in your food, you should know that the immersion blades have a plastic sleeve surrounding their shaft, just inside the hole where the blades protrude. This is a friction fit and I can't imagine the metal shaft rubbing against the plastic sleeve does not get trace amounts of plastic in the food. The whisk wires are even held together by a plastic hub, which is not as bad as the other attachment but still should be noted. Lastly, when I ran the machine (just to whip cream, nothing heavy duty) there was a strong smell like plastic or rubber burning. I wasn't expecting exceptional quality for this price but the noise and faux stainless build are deal breakers for me.

I purchased this Hamilton Beach hand blender as a replacement for my 200 watt Braun whose motor died suddenly after a few years of perfect use. The Hamilton Beach does a poor job of pureeing soups, which is my main use for it. While the Braun easily pureed an entire pot of lentil soup in mere seconds, the Hamilton Beach leaves chunks and takes several minutes of pulsing to even remotely puree. Further, the chopping bowl attachment has begun to leave bits of black plastic in the food that I chop. I can't even chop an onion without little black plastic bits eroding away into my food. Poor quality and poor performance overall.

The hand blender worked great until a few months later when it started making weird sounds and a burning plastic smell started to emerge. The food processor doesn't work at all. But the whisk worked fine, just a bit to fast for the lower speed.
