I loved this book it has some language that is very Hardcore but it is a real honest look at wrestling from a guy who came though 3 area's in wrestling and was very truthful in how he felt the product was going. I would say if you like the Attitude Area or WWE from 90 to 2006 this is a must read and after ready over 15 of these wrestling Autobiography style books this is just under Mick Foley's first book as my favorite read.

I've read pretty much every wrestling book out there (Jericho, Hart, Flair, Billy Robinson, Bishoff, etc.), and this is truly one of the most entertaining ones.

The good:
- Bob Holly gives his honest and uncensored opinion. He doesn't hold ANYTHING back. He name drops a lot and doesn't care about hurting feelings. This is as straight forward as it can get.
- He talks about the Ins and Outs of the business, from his bar fighting days up to the end of his WWE career. That covers a lot!
- Many, many road stories. This book is 98% wrestling and the pages on his race car driving days are still very entertaining.
- The author, Ross Williams, wrote a very nice book that flows easily.

The bad:
- Absolutely nothing bad about this book. Seriously.

Final verdict: 5 out of 5

It is now one of my favorite books along with Jericho, Foley and Bret Hart. This is a MUST READ for any fan that liked the 90's and 00's era of the WWF. "How do you like me now?" I like you a lot more Bob!

I've read them all. This is definitely up there in the Foley, Jericho, HBK and the Hitman league as far as a deep insight into the world of wrestling as well as the life of a wrestler. What you also get to see is Bob Howard's (real name) life outside of the business as well. As a wrestling fan from ever since I can remember I would have to say that Vince McMahon is undoubtably a genius, but he dropped the ball with Hardcore Holly. He was a solid worker who DID put together good matches and hit all his spots. The claim that he wasn't good with the mic is a load of bull. I enjoyed the cocky swag that he had, so did all my friends who were wrestling fans. I think he cuts himself short as he seems incredibly self reflective and is hard on himself - he would have easily made a great champion. He carried himself with morals and integrity in a business riddled with lies, jealousy and greediness. Stings back... Guess who wants to take him on in a programme. Triple H. Good worker but even the fans can see his selfishness.

If you want real insight, an entertaining and most of all honest read, I recommend this book, highly.

This is quite possibly the best wrestling book I have read. Filled with highs and lows if kept me turning pages until the amazing ending. Even if you're not a wrestling fan this story will keep you hooked chapter after chapter.
