After a very brief fling when Logan bought Rowan at a bachelor auction, they are thrown together again and drama ensues. Logan has a daughter, Rowan's daughter, who is two years old and Rowan didn't know about her. Rowan has hated Logan's family and was mean to her when she tried to call and tell him she was pregnant. Now Rowan is tasked with protecting Logan, and other than in bed, they seem to not get along well at all.
There was a lot of tension in the story. Logan feeling threatened by Rowan's involvement with their daughter. She harbors a lot of anger for the way she was treated when Rowan found out who her father was. Rowan was upset that he had been excluded from his daughter's life for so long. They had a lot of chemistry and heat together, and they are both very strong and stubborn characters. But the one thing they had in common was their daughter, and they both really did want the best for her over anything else.
I did enjoy the story and the characters. It was very interesting watching them evolve together.
A second chance romance with characters and a story that kept me intrigued and turning the pages. The chemistry between Rowan and Logan was strong, and the pages sizzled. I was not completely familiar with the series, but that did not hinder my enjoyment of the book, instead, I am interested in finding out what I missed!
Three years ago, Logan Copeland won a charity bachelor auction and ended up spending a passion filled night with tycoon Rowan Argyros. It was a night Logan would never forget. Rowan took her virginity and left her pregnant. Logan’s daughter is a secret that she has kept hidden from all but those who are very close to her. Now that Logan’s life is in danger, Rowan has been sent to protect her. When Rowan finds out he has a daughter, he will do what it takes to give her a perfect family, even if it means forcing Logan to marry him.
This story is exactly what you want when you pick up a Harlequin romance. It is passionate and steamy with a great alpha male. I found it hard to put this book down.
I loved how strong Logan was and no matter what life seemed to throw her way, she survived and thrived. But I also wanted her have some happiness and let someone be a true partner for her. Rowan made me angry as much as he made me want him to get what was really in his heart. I could not put this book down until I knew all was going to work out the way it should. I think I shed a tear or two, and may have screamed at least once, but I also cheered and felt like I was fighting for Logan and Rowan while reading it.
If you like an emotional fairly quick read, with a billionaire, you will enjoy this book. I know this is supposed to be the last book in the series, but there are other siblings that I would love to know their stories as well.
