Ray Jackson was an ordinary fellow, with a wife and daughter. As a recent graduate of University in an economy with a glut of people in his profession he accepts a position offered by a schoolmate whose father heads one of the largest corporations. They move to a distant outpost mine in the solar system for his work. Shortly after they are attacked by aliens. His wife Denise and daughter Paulette (Pea) are slaughtered by the aliens. Ray then quits his job and joins the marines. This novel was excellent reading. There's action, incompetence, political intrigue, massacares heroism and corporate manipulation. I received this Novel from BookFunnel and I'm offering this review voluntarily because I enjoyed it so much, as I believe you will too. Nessie.

I’ve just finished corporation wars book 1 and some of the other reviews this book is a military space opera if you’re thing is Jane Austin why read a book like this and write a poor review. I was quite happy to read this book I thought it was good well written and have already bought books 2 3 and 4.Stephen is an excellent writer and i will continue to follow his book’s’ how long till the next squad series comes out bye the way thanks Tat
Another good story and a good mix of corporate politics and warfare action with a very good set of characters ,and an appealing backstory which i think is what Arseneault does best.
This was free on kindle, well written easy read with a fairly obvious plot line . Nice relaxing and enjoyable way to pass the time on a cloudy lockdown Sunday. Have picked up a couple more books by the same author and looking forward to reading them
