cute little book about all a big brothers questions concerning the little siter his mother says lives in her tummy. nice illustrations too. i especially like the look on the mother`s face when her water breaks. my complaint is that the parents never answer brothers questions honestly.
I bought this book here from amazon it even shows the date purchased at the top of the book page, but for some reason it does not show as an amazon verified purchase.

Hey, Little Sister by Karin Cox takes a young boy's perspective on his mother's pregnancy. I read many such books to my oldest son while we awaited the arrival of his younger brother, and this one is one of the best.

The most important thing that this book does is leave much of the "technical" information to the parents to discuss. Many other books in this area provide information or ask questions that not all parents are ready or willing to discuss with their child or children. This also leaves this book open to a much larger audience because it can be tailored specifically to the developmental readiness of the particular child.

While some may see it as a problem that Zac's questions are never answered, I see this as a big bonus to parents. There is no need to contradict information in the book and it leaves room for parents to provide the information they see fit.

I also enjoyed, and so did my oldest, the fun way that the older sibling talks to his sister throughout the story. When we were awaiting the arrival of his younger brother, I encouraged my son to talk to his brother just as Zac does in this story.

I highly recommend this for children from around 3 into kindergarten as they wait to become older siblings.

HASH(0x9b55d8c4) out of 5 stars Cute and Simple Book April 27 2012

This is a cute little book. I am sure a lot of you out there can relate to having a child asking questions about, "Why is Mommy's tummy getting so big?" along with everything else about the pregnancy. This book fits exactly this scenario with colorful illustration full of character and simple, yet humorous dialog. Very sweet and heartful story.

Our kids laughed on almost every page and they especially liked the touching end of the book. The artwork is cute too. Really a great kids book. I'd love to see more short stories from this author.

A few close relatives are expecting babies. This book came at the perfect time. My little girl loved it. I thought several parts were funny, yet informative. The illustrations were cute, too.
