If you love a wonderfully written story of lust and love, Jessica E. Subject's 'Hey, Santa' is the book for you. I will not be able to look at a mall Santa without naughty thoughts. This is a must read.

HASH(0x9d53630c) out of 5 stars Short and Sweet Christmas Story Nov. 14 2013

This is a cute story about two people who have been alone for a long time. It is short and sweet. My only problem was the lack of backstory. The male is an alien. I'm sure that there is more to his story about being stranded on Earth but since this is a short novella there just was not time. This is part of the Alien Next Door series so the back story is may be in those stories.

Those looking for a quick and satisfying holiday read will get just that with Ms. Subject's latest release. In a storyline that's been done before Ms. Subject gives us two lost and lonely souls who come together right before the holidays in a steamy yet heartwarming read.

After since Claire lost her entire family to an arsonist's fire she's just been going through the motions, scared to get close to anyone for fear of losing them. She hasn't even dated but misses the closeness of even a one-night stand. Her glimpse of a sexy Santa is the first time in a long time she's even been drawn to someone else and on a bet goes after him. She notices his slight greenish hue but the immediate sparks between them has her forging ahead wholeheartedly into an after dinner dessert at his home where everything she once took for granted gets turned upside down. Once she knows the truth about Alex will she keep his secret or will fear of him and his affect on her heart have her turning him away? Claire is a likable character who's let the past control her future and it's heartwarming seeing her finally happy and thinking of the future.

Andy has been trapped on Earth for five years in constant fear that he'll be discovered and dissected for being an alien. It's kept him separate from others as he doesn't want to slip up and reveal his secret. Something about Claire calls to him and for the first time he's willing to reveal the truth about himself to keep her. I found Andy endearing and could understand his fears as early sci-fi shows, which is what he basis his beliefs on, did resort to dissection. It's a constant struggle for him to appear human and this unease was always apparent in his flashes of awkwardness.

Andy wasn't an obvious alien beyond his slight discoloration which he covered with make-up. Very little is known about his background, his home planet, or the reason he's on earth. With this part glossed over, the sci-fi element is greatly diminished which will disappoint fans of the genre. The romance is satisfying though with their electric connection. Their sexual interlude is steamy and encourages candid talk and further shows why they're a good match. From start to finish this was an entertaining story though not allowing for much depth. It gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling with its romantic and emotional message of two lonely people uniting over the loneliest time of the year. Its likable characters brought a smile to my face and it's another winner for Ms. Subject.

An Alien for the Holidays Story
By Jessica E. Subject

It's no secret that I'm a Jessica E. Subject fan. With every book I read of hers, it reminds me of why I love her stories so much. She is a master at pulling you into the mind of her characters, and making you feel as though you're walking right beside them. I haven't read a book of hers that I didn't adore, and Hey, Santa is one more to be added to that list.

This was a quick little sexy story filled with emotion.

Claire and Andy had great chemistry. They knew exactly what each other needed, regardless of their differences, and despite their secrets. Claire was tired of being alone, and took a chance. Andy never expected to find someone who would accept him, and his secret.

Everyone needs love, and it was wonderful to read how these two lonely souls found it under the mistletoe.

4.5 STARS /5

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for a honest review. My opinions are my own.
HASH(0x9b9d5f0c) out of 5 stars Sweet and Sexy Holiday Romance Nov. 28 2013

” ‘Claire, you didn’t tell me what you want for Christmas.’ Leaning in close, she gave him a breathtaking view of her cleavage. ‘Stick around,’ she whispered. ‘And you’ll find out.’ “

HEY, SANTA warmed my heart (and a few other places as well!).

This short is sexy and sweet, with a sic-fi twist. Andy, the HOT mall Santa just happens to be an alien: humanoid, but an alien nonetheless. He also happens to be gorgeous and skilled in the bedroom.

Both Claire and Andy have lost love ones and just want a partner they can trust and share themselves with, but sharing secrets could have devastating consequences. Immediate chemistry boils over into some spicy sex and heartwarming romantic moments. This light and sexy read is perfect for a single sitting and has just enough romance and holiday cheer.

HASH(0x9b8efa14) out of 5 stars A fun read Nov. 2 2013

Ms. Subject writes futuristic romance with a particular blend of flavor. Sweet, emotion-laden people, usually suffering the pangs of loneliness, with the hot, hot, hot combustion of really great spark. In "Hey Santa," all of these elements are there again in a Christmas-themed short story about an alien stranded on Earth who meets his gal.

This book is a definite recommendation for anyone who enjoys a futuristic romance, or wants a little heat for the holidays. Well done!
