In High School Debut, Volume 6 by Kazune Kawahara, Haruna is extremely happy, but Yoh is not. Yoh has been receiving phone calls from his ex-girlfriend. Will Haruna stand a chance if his ex-girlfriend wants to get back with him? Has Yoh's feelings for his ex-girlfriend changed?

HASH(0x9d17d2c4) out of 5 stars Poor Haruna July 12 2011
By setlib - Published on
Format: Paperback
This is my least favorite volume so far. First, a rival for Yoh's affections drives a wedge in between Haruna and Yoh, leaving poor Haruna to fret and worry and cry (and overeat) for about a hundred pages. I found the rival to be a shallowly-drawn character and the incident that drives Haruna and Yoh apart to be completely unbelievable. It almost felt like the author had to produce an extra volume at the last minute and so stuck in this soap opera-like twist that didn't have much relation to the plot before or afterwards, or the arc of character development.

In the last chapter, Haruna innocently invites Yoh on a birthday trip to a resort that includes an overnight stay. However when everyone else freaks out, she belatedly realizes that everyone (including possibly Yoh) expects them to "do it" during the trip. Knowing Haruna, of course, this causes a comic storm of embarrassment and anxiety. Again, I was disappointed that this sudden plot twist was thrown in here, in a series that up to this point had been refreshingly free of sexual references. However, things improve in the next volume.

HASH(0x9d7adf8c) out of 5 stars She's made it! April 6 2009

Hah! Haruna's made the big time! She now a sophmore, and boy is she turning heads! She's already got not 1...nope not 2 but 3! Three guys crushing on her! Wow talk about coming from nothing to something! But her feeling for Yoh are rock solid of course! Let's just hope another doesn't fall into mix!
Haruno cheery and spontaneous personality attracts guys like a moth to the flame. Only she doesn't even really know it! Oh I just love this series. It's way to cute.

HASH(0x9d088690) out of 5 stars More and more in love May 20 2009

I have really enjoyed this series, and this may be the funniest volume yet, although, there are at least seven more to come, right? So, it's really hard to gauge. If you have bought these up to now, I recommend to buy this and keep going!

HASH(0x9cfec6a8) out of 5 stars Excellent. Sept. 15 2010

I had read this manga online so I knew what I was going to receiving. Only difference is that some of the translations are different from the manga online compared to the actual volume which is to be expected. A lot is the same which is great. I love, love, love this manga. My friend had introduced me to it and I immediately fell in love with it and continuously read it. The condition it came in is new, although some of the edges have small dents or so. Also slightly buffed when looking at it with the light.

I think i bought all the manga for high school debut here on amazon! All of them where in good condition. Sometimes they would be a little bit dirty but i didnt mind that so much. I never got any with torn or folded pages, and the prices were good so i feel like it was worth it.
