I love this collection of useful hardware! I've hung all kinds of pictures and art work with them and have used some of the eyelet screws to put in the top of wooden birdhouses so that I could hang them from a shepherd's hook. Perfect! My only complaint is that the nails are either too small or too big. There needs to be a middle ground -- long and thin nails. If hanging something heavy, I wouldn't recommend most of the hooks. But there is wire, etc. for larger pieces. Perhaps what I like most is that all of the bits I need for hanging items is in one nice little plastic case. I've been extremely pleased with this product.
I've used this type of picture hanger for over 50 years and have never had problems of any sort. As long as the size of the hook is appropriate for the weight of the object, they've never failed on me. I have an antique plate glass mirror which probably weighs 40 pounds or so. I use two of the largest size hooks to hang it and have never had any problems. There are two loops attached to the back of the mirror which go over the hooks. Since they're permanently attached to the mirror the hooks have to be in the correct position on the wall before hanging the mirror. It takes a bit of measuring to get everything positioned correctly but, once that's done, the mirror goes up without any fuss.
These hooks work well in drywall or plaster (put a piece of tape on plaster walls & drive the nail through the tape — prevents spalling) as well as wood. In recent years I've started using Command® products to hang some of my lighter artwork since I avoid putting holes in walls that way. It makes it easier to rearrange things if I choose. But, for things which require sturdy support, these hooks are the way to go.
Great little kit. Has everything you need, and more. We have hung several things on the wall, from small photos, to big paintings. They have all held up well. Be confident in this kit, that your hangings will be secure.

You get A Lot for the Money. The Quality is Good and I've Used All of the Sizes and They are Great. Only Complaint, is that the Small to Medium Nails are "Really Smaill", so Plan on Using Some of Your Own in Their Place. The Larger Nails are Great and you Get Enough of Them to Make the Whole Kit a Great Value. The Picture Wire is a Good Medium Grade and is a Good Bonus to the Kit.

The product was as described, and the case is very handy. The only drawback was that the plastic case was shipped by USPS, in just a plastic bag, which fit in my small apt size mailbox. The handy plastic case arrived damaged on one corner, so I taped the piece back into place, so the case is still functional. To avoid this type of minor damage, I think this item should be mailed in a padded enevelope.
