They don’t play for the same team. Or do they?

Jamie Canning has never been able to figure out how he lost his closest friend. Four years ago, his tattooed, wise-cracking, rule-breaking roommate cut him off without an explanation. So what if things got a little weird on the last night of hockey camp the summer they were eighteen? It was just a little drunken foolishness. Nobody died.

Ryan Wesley’s biggest regret is coaxing his very straight friend into a bet that pushed the boundaries of their relationship. Now, with their college teams set to face off at the national championship, he’ll finally get a chance to apologize. But all it takes is one look at his longtime crush, and the ache is stronger than ever.

Jamie has waited a long time for answers, but walks away with only more questions—
can one night of sex ruin a friendship? If not, how about six more weeks of it? When Wesley turns up to coach alongside Jamie for one more hot summer at camp, Jamie has a few things to discover about his old friend...and a big one to learn about himself.

Warning: contains sexual situations, hotties on hockey skates, skinnydipping, shenanigans in an SUV and proof that coming out to your family on social media is a dicey proposition.

About the Author

Sarina Bowen writes steamy, angsty contemporary romance from Vermont's Green Mountains. (Her ancestors began logging and farming Vermont during the 18th century. These were rugged, outdoor types without benefit of a laptop or a good latte. It boggles the mind.) Sarina enjoys skiing, skating and good food. She lives in Windsor County, Vermont, with her family, eight chickens and too much ski gear and hockey equipment. You can visit her at www.sarinabowen.com to sign up for her newsletter. A New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author, Elle Kennedy grew up in the suburbs of Toronto, Ontario, and holds a BA in English from York University. From an early age, she knew she wanted to be a writer and actively began pursuing that dream when she was a teenager. She loves strong heroines and sexy alpha heroes, and just enough heat and danger to keep things interesting! Elle loves to hear from her readers. I didn't really know anything about it. I saw Colleen Hoover posted on her page, that she read it and loved it... (Not that I don't have a brain and can't think for myself, but when she recommends something, you know its going to be good)

I don't think I have read these authors, together or separate.

1-clicked, and from Page 1 I was pulled in and captivated by this story! It was, at times, a gut-wrenching Journey and my eyes were tear-filled!! It is a shame that in this day and age, there are still some having to 'hide' who they really are. The author's description of some of these hurdles are realistic and pulllllll at your heart.

I giggled through manyyyy parts of this story!!! The humour, quick-wit is 'laugh-out-loud, snort your a** off' funny!!! Their knowledge of hockey was impressive!

An extra thrill, I am Canadian, love hockey, and live close to some of the locations they mention in the book!!! Extra giggles for me.

The chemistry....smoking.hot.!!!

If you are looking for a sexy, heart-felt love story, this is an excellent choice!!

I'm not the type of person who loves to read romance. I'm normally just not into romance. BUT, this book is not a stupid romantic cliché.
I love it. This is not a complicated story with too much of emotions and overthinking. There is also lot of humour between them.
It's well wrote, and you kind of forget you're reading about 2 guys, you forget you're reading gay romance, it's just a good story about a guys who always had a cruch on his bestfriend.

Well this was my first full-on foray into M/M. I’d dabbled before with other stories where it was a side story and had liked it. Now I get the allure…there's something that's almost naughty or sinful about it in a delightfully delicious way! And it's scorching HOT!!
I’m a big fan of Elle Kennedy, found and fell for her with her Off Campus series, and have never read a Sarina Bowen book before – I’ll be rectifying that STAT. This was a really great, fast, sexy read and the writing style was easy, engaging and seamless; would never have guessed it was co-authored.

We have two hot college hockey players, Jamie Canning and Ryan Wesley (aka Wes), who were best friends throughout their high school years at Hockey summer camp. But they haven't spoken to each other for four years because of what happened their last night together and now they must face each other.
Wes has loved Jamie since he was 13 and while he knows they can't have more because Jamie is straight, Wes misses his friend and wants to make amends.

"Canning can't give me what I want, but I still can't stop myself from wanting it. I want whatever I can get - a conversation, a joke gift, a smile, anything. I might not be able to have the steak, but f@*k I, I'm fine with some scraps."

The story moves quickly as these two reconnect, work through their past and also come to realize a few things about each other. While there was a lot of sweet and hot sex scenes,...there wasn't a lot of angst or drama. There was one little blip but it didn't last for long. I'm not all for dramas sake but would have wanted a bit more of a struggle.
Needless to day, this was a great read and would recommend those who love M/M or either of these authors, or for that matter, if you're feeling adventurous and want to try something new, I say go for it!!

Now that the cherry's been popped, I'll be looking to expand my horizons and reading more M/M!

What a wonderful story. Have been a fan of Elle Kennedy for a while but new to Sarina. I will want to read more of her books now. This is such an emotional story and very heartwarming. I am so proud that Canada has welcomed same sex relationships and I hope books like this will assure Americans that there new law can make a lot if people very happy!

Best book in a long time. A real examination of the feelings, the complexities, the heartbreak of being a gay athlete and being in love. Unapologetic as it should be. Real. What a great writer, and I'm enjoying other books by her right now. Very much worth the read. On my favorite list now.
