Oh my, this book was *exactly* what I needed to read when I read it.

His Every Need fulfills every expectation I have for the erotica genre, and then some. It's sexy, sweet, passionate and full of heart.

Allie and Trevor come together in one of those eyebrow-raising ways. He agrees to forgive the debt her father owes him, allowing her family to keep its small home, in exchange for two months of access to her... well, her everything. This premise sounds like a Dominant gone arrogantly wrong, to be honest, throwing his weight around with little regard for the little people. But wow, was this book so much more than that.

Trevor manages to be both an arrogant jerk and a sweetly tender gentleman. He's far from perfect, but that's okay because if he was, this book would have very little viable dramatic tension. Tons of sexual tension still, but, you know, not a lot to hinge it all on. Trevor's bluntness also really gave some colour this book, I thought. He doesn't talk around things, and Allie picks up on that and embraces blunter language as well, which I liked.

Allie is the good girl - she left college to take care of her family when her mother was in treatment for and then passed away from breast cancer. She's got her head down, focused on tackling each of her family's problems one at a time, without thinking about living her life for herself.

I loved the way that Trevor wanted to 'do the right thing', but constantly gave in to temptation. That he couldn't resist Allie, and the ways in which that surfaced really got to me. I loved it! For her part, Allie is a sweetheart, and she deserved to be cherished and cared for by someone focused on her needs for once.

As erotica, this book delivers with some very sexy sex scenes.

Allie lost her mother 6 months ago, but she's been taking care of her two sisters, her father and their house ever since her mother fell ill 5 years ago. Her life was put on hold while she took care of everyone else. Until one day she finds that although her father has been unable to make any decisions regarding his children, he has made decisions with his business that has allowed it to be run into the ground and them to lose their house. Allie just can't let it happen, at any cost she will make sure her sisters and father don't lose the only thing they have left.

Trevor Blake is a used to buying and selling things, loaning money to businesses that should help him make a profit off his investments. He isn't used to a someone willing to literally do anything for their family since his is such a mess. He puts up offer after offer to Allie hoping it'll make her back down but she agrees to nearly any terms he makes. Including being there for his every need.

I found this book to be quite interesting. I loved Allie's character especially as she developed through the story from the daughter who does everything for her family to the woman in love and going after what she needs in life. Trevor was frustrating at times, but I still found him highly amusing as he tried to understand this colorful and lively woman that lives with him.

I did find that there was a LOT of British terminology that was used while in Allie's POV, which didn't work for me since she was supposed to be American and wouldn't have used such terms when thinking or speaking. I also didn't care for her dad and his quick change towards the end and that Allie was just okay with it. I would have been rip roaring mad for a heck of a lot longer, but maybe that's just me after everything she went through.

All in all, I loved it and can't wait for the next one to see where their story goes from here.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun, Charming and Stubborn Love Story Aug. 3 2015
By Marsha @ Keeper Bookshelf - Published on

Trevor Blake really is an arrogant man. Leave no doubt in your mind about that fact. Safe and secure behind his recreated English manor in the desert of Las Vegas, this multi-millionaire doesn’t need to do anything more than check his bank balances and stock reports each day. He often is an investor in small businesses that show promise – promise of profit, that is. And should they flounder, or default on their loans it is annoying but simply another piece of real estate to be sold off…at profit. Trevor is sexier than sin, handsome as the devil and cares only for his own comfort and life. Perhaps his butler and housekeeper holds a smidge of his affection, but deep felt emotions are left to the riffraff, the people who believe in such nonsense. Never him.

Allison Campbell’s life at the moment is on overload. Having left college when her mother became ill and shortly after passed away, and remaining home to care for her father, two sisters, house and a job – Allie hasn’t had time for herself or to even think, she’s been too busy holding her family together for years now… and they have let her. Today her life will fall even further apart, and will change forever.

His Every Need is a sexy, steamy, touching and at times funny love story. When Allie agrees to Trevor’s offhanded, never meant to be taken seriously request the stage is set for sexy encounters, more family troubles than Trevor ever encountered in his life, teenage angst and rebellion, and coming to terms with a parent’s choices in love. Slowly we will see the true Trevor, underneath the arrogant exterior – oh he’s still annoyingly upper handed, but we begin to see some reasons for the way he has chosen to live his life. He doesn’t believe in love, and is totally blindsided when that emotion smacks him in the face.

Charming, entertaining and sensuous enough to have steam floating up from the pages… this is a very sexy book, and one that I completely enjoyed. If you love to see a hard headed male tumble into unknown territories of love – this one will delight you.

I love the witty and obscene personality of Trevor he was absolutely too funny and I laughed through the whole book and I loved him and Allison's relationship it may have started out in a different way, but it ended in love, though it took him a while to see it because of what he's been through with his parents, but I was extremely touched by the love and dedication Allison has to her family it really takes a strong willed person to do what she did...Allison reminds me of myself, I would do anything for my mother and this book just made me feel the emotions they were feeling it's hard to understand, but it's like you know them or are them and you know exactly what their going through, its surreal but in a good way 😊 Please Ms Austin make more books like this! I would DEFINITELY recommend this book to people.

This review is long, long overdue. See, I discovered Terri Austin with her Rose Strickland Mystery series. And since I thought they were fabulous, I did all the things that fans do: I followed the author on Goodreads, subscribed to her newsletter, followed her on twitter and liked her on Facebook. I think it was through one of her Facebook giveaways that I actually won this book. It wasn't long after I received it that I started it, reading a little bit every day on my lunch break at work.

It was a good story; one that I enjoyed enough that when the second book was released, I requested an ARC for review. So, back to the question of why I didn't do a review at the time.... Um. *shrugs* I don't have a good answer, other than books that I read for my personal enjoyment I don't tend to do formal reviews for. But when I reviewed the second book in the series, I realized that I should officially review the first.

To be honest, I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not when I started it. The whole idea of the Alpha-hole guy basically cornering the scared woman into a sexual relationship... eh, sounded a bit creepy, smacked of a bodice ripper historical and so-ho-ho not my usual fair. But I figured I would give the author a chance to convince me with her plot and storytelling. You know what? It worked. I was by turns assured and persuaded to her vision. And though there was plenty of smexy good times to be had, that actually is built up to far more slowly than some other "traditional" plot line romances that I have read.

Trevor's not the A-hole I first envisioned and Allie's not the weak-spined ninny letting the "Man" bully her around. It really is a love story of two slightly damaged people, each with their own hang ups and issues. Together, they complete each other and created something stronger. I especially liked Trevor's crazy parents. Meeting them explained so much. So, so much. I liked it, thought it redeemed my initial fears, so I gave it 3 stars.
5.0 out of 5 stars His Every Need follows the typical billionaire guy/helpless girl story line and puts a delightful spin on it. Oct. 20 2015

His Every Need follows the typical billionaire guy/helpless girl story line and puts a delightful spin on it. At the heart of the story is Allison Campbell and Trevor Blake. Allison has recently lost her mother to cancer and has left college to keep her family together. Turns out her dad has mismanaged his business and lost everything including the house to a billionaire, Trevor Blake. Allie knows that she has nothing to give the billionaire in exchange for the house, so she unexpectedly offers herself in trade. Trevor does not want to back down from their agreement so he tries to push Allie to get her to give up. Trevor is generous to Allie, but he is determined to push her without crossing the line of intimacy…to use her while she is paying off the debt, but to not truly care for her.

So Allie’s father is a real piece of work. He is so focused on himself that he burdens her with not only talking care of the house, but also the issues that arise with his other two daughters. Trevor has such a horrible relationship with his own parents, that he lets Allie believe they are dead. But even with all their faults and drama, it is so easy to fall in love with Trevor and Allie.

In the end there is a HEA and enough tidbits that you want to read the next book in the series.

I actually read To Be His right after (the story told from his POV) and was so glad I did. It really made me love them more.

I got this book as a free book choice. I had never heard of it. I had never heard of the author. But, I really enjoyed myself. I began to read thinking okay why is this book free? Will it be one that I have to make myself read? The answers are simple. I didn't have to make myself read the book because I just couldn't put it down. Allison has taken on the roll of "mother" to her dad and two younger sister. She has put her life on hold in order to be there for them. Her mother died from cancer just six months ago, and her dad has been in a downward spiral ever since. It seems that he has lost his business and their home to someone named Trevor. Trevor is a British billionaire who has no sympathy for people. Somehow Allison agrees to become his mistress to pay off her father's debts so they can keep their home. I have to say that Trevor is a pompous jerk most of the book. You know that he really loves Allison, but man does he do some stupid things to keep her from knowing it. I felt every emotion that Allison did. I just fell in love with her character. She was trying to do it all, but she sacrificed herself in order to get it done. I loved the quirky cast of characters that were introduced in this story. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger, but we know that Allison's sister is going to have a book about her. I am a fan!
