It's got that bit of soul, it's got beat, it's missing that song from the start of the movie when the woman is reaching over to shut off the alarm clock. Sam Cooke - Wonderful World, would have been a 5 if that song was on it.

HASH(0x9e22478c) out of 5 stars That Kevin James dance song is: July 30 2005

The song that "Albert" dances to is "Yeah!" by Usher from the Confessions album. Notice it is NOT on this soundtrack.

HASH(0x9e2247e0) out of 5 stars Missed Usher, but good soundtrack Sept. 1 2005
By R. Rockenbaugh - Published on
Format: Audio CD
Loved the movie and the music. The soundtrack is good, but I was very disappointed not to have Usher's "Yeah" on the soundtrack - the dancing scene is one of the best parts of the movie for goodness' sake! Oh well, still a good CD.

HASH(0x9ad5dfd8) out of 5 stars Not the movie March 21 2006

Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase
I was very disappointed that the songs on this album were not a comprehensive list of the songs that I saw in the movie. It's a compilation of mediocre songs. Big disappointment.

HASH(0x9ad601b0) out of 5 stars Terrible soundtrack March 13 2005
By Peg C. - Published on
Format: Audio CD
Run, don't walk, AWAY from this soundtrack as fast as you can, unless you're under 20. At the very least, sample the songs on Itunes (as I did) first. With 1 or 2 exceptions, the songs are mediocre new stuff no one would ever buy or cover versions that suffer by comparison with the original. Most of the songs we liked best in the movie are NOT here and what is here would never register in a person's memory after the credits roll. This confirms that soundtracks are marketing ploys that bear little or no relation to their film vehicle.

Don't waste money on this!!

HASH(0x9e224ca8) out of 5 stars Actually a really good Soundtrack. March 5 2005
By The Idle Receptionist - Published on

I find myself constantly listening to this soundtrack. Hitch was a funny & upbeat movie, and so is the soundtrack. It features Amerie, John Legend, Omarion, and some great old school sounds by the elements Earth Wind & Fire, The Temptations, and the O'Jays. A lot of the more contemporary songs on the album are remakes (like John Legend's, and Omarion's) but even they are great.

Amerie - One Thing: Generally, I'm not a fan of Amerie, but this is such a fun song to listen to. The vocals aren't exactly top notch, but this is a great track to dance to.

John Lengend - Don't You Worry Bout a Thang: A great remake of a Stevie Wonder classic. Though John Legend is no Stevie, he does an AMAZING job covering the track.

The Temptations - I Can't Get Next to You: I'm sure you've all heard this one.

Mark Ronson - Ooh Wee: Another fun track. Features Ghostface Killah & the classic Nate Dogg. This again samples an older song ; but this is still a fun song to listen to.

This is a soundtrack that you can really listen to from beginning to end without skipping. I suggest you pick it up.
