Book two centered itself on Fox, the lawyer and Layla, the NYC retail store cleck. Come on, this is a book of 300 and some pages that could have been written in a little under 100. Thers is just about nothing going on with the main story line which is about demons and gods, white and black magick. This book is a lame excuse for a trilogy.

About the charaters. Did she have (Roberts)to make Layla such a high strong, high maintenance bitch. Everything that Fox does, she gets piss off about. She is the kind of woman I hate and I am a woman. All they do is fight and have sex. I never read a romantic novel in my life and this comes way to close to being one. I wish someone had warned me.

Of course I am going to buy the last one coming out in december which will be centering on Gage and Cybil. I need to know what happen's at the Pagan Stone.

This is a writer that needs no "intro" she has been around for decades and with good reason...Her Books Are Fantastic! I think I have read everything she has ever written and I have enjoyed each and every one of them. She is an awesome writer and so are her characters. She is unique and there is no-wonder why she is the world's best-selling author! I mean that sincerely. If you haven't had a chance to get your copy of this super book now would be the perfect time to do so. You'll be glad you did.

The second of the trilogy, "The Hollow" improves on the first, but the plot lags behind Roberts' characters and storytelling. As a horror fan, I appreciated some of the supernatural moments in the book and would have preferred more of them and less of the romance. But, don't worry, Nora - I'll read "The Pagan Stone".

I have read the books in this series before. The description was misleading, stating "new and never before in print". The first of this series was printed in 2007 I believe.
Having said that - all were books I enjoyed the first time around and am enjoying again the second.
