Product Description

Book 1 in the Christian Romance series, Home To Collingsworth, Home Is Where the Heart Is begins the story of siblings brought back together by their grandmother's death. Each story shares the struggles and triumphs of a sister as they deal with their faith, the bonds of family and love!

Ten years ago, Violet Collingsworth left the town founded by her family, eager to escape a domineering grandmother and a past filled with hurt. Finally able to pursue her own dreams, Violet has spent the last decade traveling and enjoying adventures in the outdoors she loves so much. But now her grandmother's death has brought her back to Collingsworth and to the conflicted familial relationships of her past. Settling down anywhere, let alone Collingsworth, was not part of her agenda, but a run-in with the town sheriff has her reconsidering.

Sheriff Dean Marconett has heard plenty about the Collingsworth sister who loved to travel, but he never imagined he'd be so drawn to her when they finally met. Hoping to win her heart, he keeps secret the one thing that might scare her away. Will he be able to convince Violet to consider settling down in the town she fled from so long ago before his secret is revealed? Or will her adventuresome spirit and the hurts and fears of her past, along with his secret, drive her away from a chance at love?

This is the first in the series and does a great job of introducing you to each Collingsworth family member. Violet is a free-spirit and left town as soon as she could and ever since has lived a pretty carefree life. She only returns home due to the funeral of her grandmother (who raised her and her sisters). She meets the Sheriff, Dean, who has firmly planted roots in the town and is not looking to ever move. Both are attracted to each other but are scared because of getting involved due to what the other might want. Also Dean is keeping a secret from Violet, what happens when she finds out. What will happen? Will they take a chance or will their fears keep them from something God might want for them. The big lesson from the story is that secrets can really hurt people. I enjoyed the story and really liked both Dean and Violet. I look forward to reading more of this series to see what other secrets are to be revealed.

Thanks Kimberly Rae Jordan for a great story. It was interesting, believable and a delightful read. I loved Dean, the town sheriff, immediately and I also enjoyed reading how he related to each of the Collingsworth sisters, as well as their austere Grandmother. I look forward to getting to know more about this very interesting family as I read your other books. Your story has just enough romance and just enough background history to make one want to keep reading about the Collingsworth family. I love how it is definitely a Christian Romance but yet it is not filled with "author evangelism". A story is meant to be a story and this author has done this very well. Home is definitely where the heart is as I found out in my own life, lived partly in PEI, partly in Jamaica, partly in Ontario and now in NB. Keep on telling your stories.

I loved that this story was different than some other romance novels. It was a methodical "getting to know". It felt a little awkward at times, but it was refreshing. I was a little disappointed that the story ended so abruptly. I am hoping that the next book in this series will carry on and finish this storyline.
