As Yura continues her foray into the glamorous world of acting, she's starting to learn that success is often marred with setbacks and compromises. Although she fails to land the lead role in a new drama penned by famous screenwriter Maki Todo, she does succeed in getting offered the part of the heroine's friend. However, her boss Keiichi cautions Yura that her increasing popularity will result in greater scrutiny of her private life by the paparazzi. Can Yura continue growing as an actress while keeping her budding relationships with Q-ta and Haruka in check?

HASH(0xa3ca9510) out of 5 stars I want to slap that girl May 17 2010

As with most shoujo titles, I'm always afraid it'll reach a point where the main girl just starts doing things that are so stupid you want to slap some sense into her. This is that volume for Honey Hunt.

I was also was disappointed the author uses the last portion of the book to detour into the show in which the characters are acting. Although the premise of seeing the characters "at work" should be a good one, the storyline for the drama is, again, lacking in common sense that makes you want to slap sense into that girl too.

Artwork remains very good, and I will most likely continue reading another volume or two just to give the series a chance, but if it continues along the same lines as this volume, I'll be looking elsewhere for my shoujo manga fix.
HASH(0xa3ca975c) out of 5 stars This one bogs down Sept. 27 2015

I loved Honey Hunt 1 and 2, don't remember 3, but I will remember this one since it is a little annoying. Nevertheless, I still would have purchased it to keep up with the story. Volume 5 got better reviews, so hoping for the best!

Disclaimer: the 14-year-old daughter LOVED it. I am MUCH older than that, so I realize that I may be the wrong demographic!

The less than perfect
Yura is getting ridiculous – in my head I hear her voice do that surprised breath like Trixie from speed racer. Too much drama.
Yura's confusion is getting ridiculous and she's overdramatic and what was all that weirdness with the boss? Plus I found some of the plot confusing.

The good
Her mother makes an appearance which is painful but fun and we get to hear the origins of Q-ta's name, which is gratifying.
I enjoy watching Yura's career develops and watching her learn the trade. But the angst was a little too frustrating.
