I loved the book, the writing, and the plot. It is especially nice that Josie welcomes feedback on typos at the end of the book. Loved Donna's character and her fierce love of her children. Her blind love for her husband is something that is seen often, even if at times it is unwarranted. It is not often that a book brings tears to my eyes, but this book did. The tender moments regarding a mother's love for her children are quite heart-warming. An unlikely alliance leads to her finding what she deserves most in her life: reciprocation of deep love.
On a con note: I found the over explicit sexual language unnecessary and detracting from a great book.

At first, I had a little trouble getting into it but after a couple of chapters I was hooked. Really love that the plot twist I thought was coming up, was in fact different. Nothing worse than when a story line is so predictable that you can finish it in your head before you finish reading it. The handbook format was interesting and humorous.

This author certainly has a wacky sense of humour, and I like it. Guess I might be just as crazy or sick as she is if I laugh at some of what she has written. Sometimes a warped sense of humour comes in handy. I like the way she writes, the concept of the story is absolutely nutty... and far fetched. Still, it was quite entertaining.

yes there was humour and some romance but I had trouble merging her thoughts and actions. She was often as b###chy as her neighbours. and if she was that dedicated to her children, how could she put them at such risk? Also her assassinations were pretty grim.

It was a free book when I got it.. so I got what I paid for. While I wanted her to succeed in avenging her husband's death, it became more than "a willing suspension of disbelief". Read at your own risk as other reviewers rate this book higher and found it highly entertaining. I didn't and cannot recommend it.

Growing up in a family of educated, professional, and capable women, I loved the multitasking capability of the main character. The situations were very realistic and the humour entertaining.

Good escape, good humour - strongest storyline, not really. But enough to keep me well entertained which is exactly what I wanted.
