Product Description

CRUDE. ARROGANT. A**HOLE.
No doubt about it, Sebastian ‘Oz’ Osborne is the university’s most celebrated student athlete—and possibly the biggest douchebag. A walking, talking cliché, he has a filthy mouth, a fantastic body, and doesn’t give a sh*t about what you or anyone else thinks.

SMART. CLASSY. CONSERVATIVE.
Make no mistake, Jameson Clarke may be the university’s most diligent student—but she is no prude. Spending most of her time in the hallowed halls of the library, James is wary of pervs, jocks, and douchebags—and Oz Osborne is all three.

She’s smart, sarcastic—and not what he expected.

…EVERY DOUCHBAG HAS HIS WEAKNESS.

He wants to be friends.
He wants to spend time with her.
He wants to drive her crazy.

He wants…

Her.

This was utter delight. And, strangely, a little less douchey than I expected it to be.. at least from our main hero (can't wait for Zeke to get his). I loved Jameson, I loved Oz, I loved the banter, the wooing, the crude behaviour, the evolution of their friendship and relationship, Oz's personal journey to a more mature man even though ultimately he was already sweet and charming and more respectful than most (despite his manwhore ways). It was light on angst and free of any heaviness, though I could've done with a little more depth. I loved bestie Allison, who I definitely think we'll be seeing more of in book two, even ditzy Sidney (who I so expected drama from and then it never happened, what a shock to have solid female friendships!).

To be honest, I lost track of how many screenshots I took to giggle over and share with others. It's one of those books you want to experience with your girlfriends and laugh and swoon over. Like this gem :

"I mean, you're vulgar and kind of a pig. I'm not sure where to start with a guy like you. You're like a set of Legos with a million tiny pieces and terrible instructions, and I'm not sure where to stick what."

THE STUDYING HOURS is sexy flirty fantastic fun and I so look forward to more from this author and specifically this series.

This book left me feeling fairly indifferent in the end. There really wasn't anything specifically wrong I just had a difficult time connecting to the characters. I never felt myself rooting for the main characters to get together. I didn't find the hero or heroine all that memorable. They weren't likable or unlikable but I felt total indifference towards them and their story. I did finish it but it definitely wasn't one of the most memorable books I've read. I'd still like to read the next book in the series to see if another couple might have more appeal because unfortunately this one just didn't do it for me.

I enjoyed this one a lot. I ended up reading the second one first in the series, so oz didn't seem so bad compared to zeke. Loved the banter between the characters.
