down to earth but far from whimsical

This book is like it is a primer for understanding some of the scholarly levels of consideration for the folks who discover how to tell the accuracy of the Bible we use today. A lot of things are critically important, and should be, since our personal copy of the Bible is the best source for understanding our relationship with God. "How Good Is My Bible?" is an excellent companion book for any Christian who wants to be familiar with a very brief study of textual transmission or textual criticism and how those have been applied through the ages as copies of copies have been translated and retranslated so that the contemporary version hasn't lost integrity or authority. Grapples with hot button stuff like the Authorized 1611 King James Version and other topics such as the Apocrypha. Many fellow believers have eagerly anticipated the release of this work, and as the author, I simply say, "May God bless . . . ."
