I wasn't too familiar with the 5:2 fast diet before I downloaded this book but the concepts are unique yet simple in a way.

I was really caught off guard by the stats about eating small meals and how obesity rates have risen in that era since we began eating smaller meals throughout the day.

But if you think about the norm for humans was always to hunt, fast, gather, etc etc. and this seems to be the way we've evolved to eat. Lots of practical advice in this book but the one thing that sticks out to me are those "aha!" moments where everything is tied together about the main concepts of this 5:2 Fast Diet and why it works long term. Thanks for this one

I found this book to be encouraging. As a life time dieter, doing one diet and then another only to gain more weight I feel that I have found what I can do. So far it is not difficult to do. On fast days I do not eat breakfast and mostly vegetables the remainder of the day.
